East coasters can always choose an island in the Pacific. Surprisingly, the Maldives are only $30 from the east coast compared to the west.
thats because for the Maldives you're flying Malaysian Airlines which flies outta Melb ;)
Pacific Blue appears to only be cheap from Perth .. prob coz they dont get as much outta there .. plus its closer.
I knew some friends from Perth who use to say its cheaper to fly to Asia than it was to East Coast Australia ..
Agree with other comments should really say where from as it is a huge diff… but hotels and flights are so cheap these days.. prob not even worth going for packages - given restrictions and limitations.
The problem with these packages… The prices start from $449, but only from Perth, and only for Bali. The next cheapest place is Borneo, which again is flying out from Perth. Unless you live in Perth its usually not a great deal, lol.
