SCA Hand Trolley - 6 Wheel, 180kg - $85.47 @ Supercheap Auto

230

I recently picked one of these up. Surprised with the quality for the price.

6 wheels that can't go flat. 180kg capacity. Inbuilt load lashing.

Bunnings have a 300kg trolley that is better but it's $199

Bang for buck this 180kg is great.

Combine this with the $10/$20 credit deal this weekend

  • I purchased their 150 kg trolley. Sounds scary with more than 30kg load on it

I had a Bunnings cheapie like that before. Some c*** nicked it and the fridge that was sitting on it.

Used to hate the fact every time I used to goto use it the tyres were flat. Made sure when I bought the replacement it had non-inflatable tyres!

I'm sorry but I had to laugh.

How did they take it? I'm picturing some guy casually walking down the street pushing a fridge on a trolley lol

        EDIT: Nice dp btw ;)

I had the fridge (500 litre, old, sale price $100) for sale on a Facebook classifieds in my reasonably small regional area.

A woman said she'd buy it and pickup at 4pm, so I put it on the trolley and had it by the front door of my house. I live in a quiet street with little traffic.

At 8pm the woman hadnt arrived - I called her and she said she'd decided against the purchase - thanks for letting me know biatch….

Anyway I knew the fridge and trolley were outside, but 15 metres off the street, next to the door, in a quiet street - so being lazy I figured i'd leave them there - surely no-one would take them.

9am the next day, I go outside and the fridge and trolley are gone.

I posted the details of the theft on the same Facebook pages - I got feedback that around 6am that morning an Aboriginal woman was pushing a hand trolley with a fridge on it along the street, about 2km from my house.

If someone knocked on the door and had said they were having hard times I would have given them the fridge - but to steal the fridge and the trolley wasn't good. Someone was going to hospital if I caught them in the act.

I suspect I know the house that was involved in the theft, but without solid proof nothing I can do. The cops didnt give a toss.

I was also annoyed because I'd pumped the tyres full of air when I'd loaded up the fridge. Hope the tyres are constantly going flat for the thief…

I think I captured it on CCTV footage.

He came by the next day too…

          @jv:

          That is more like it.

It's tribute to the effectiveness of trolleys that a woman can push a large, awkwardly sized fridge over 2km with them.

The crap one she took didn't have a load lash, and the fridge wasn't secured, so she did very well to get it that far without it falling off the trolley….

        • @GreatWhiteHunter: considering how strong she appeared to be, you might get lucky for not sighting the act, if someone has to be going to the hospital after ……

You can hire something similar for $16/day at bunnings.

Obviously the SCA deal will be better if u use it more than 5 times.

Hey didn't know that, thanks for sharing!

      • No probs.
I was just about to buy this SCA trolley last year to move my stuff.
However I could not find one in store in WA. Apparently I have to order online and pay postage on top of that!
I start researching and saw the link i posted above. Since I only needed it for a couple of hours, I paid $11 for 4 hours.

If your house has steps or stairs this trolley is worth its weight in gold.

    • The Bunnings hire ones are identical to their $199 ones - at least at my local bunnings.

  • sounds like a good deal. I have the Bunnings/Westmix one, very solid (weighs about 25kg) but at the time I needed to get an awkward load up & down a flight of stairs, I figured $200 was way cheaper than the physio appointments I was likely to need trying without the trolley.
