    • +1

Ta. I have updated the deal.

      • What time does it start? Midnight?

        • +1

Not sure when their Monday starts.

  • +2

the astone $7 usb case is about as cheap as you get for local stock

    • Correct me if im wrong… are these usb ports known to come off the circuit board pretty easily?

      • +1

It's not a usb port. It's an external hard drive enclosure.

  • I'm looking for a gaming mouse (the ~$30 mark feels about right and I like the non-intrusive design of this one so I'm wondering if anyone has had any experience with it or a similar mouse from the series. MSY also have the SteelSeries 62169 going for $19. Any comparisons and recommendations would be appreciated.

    • +1

It's popular amongst pro gamers, only problem is ergonomics

      • +2

Meaning they get paid to use it.

    • Looks like im gona try return my steelseries mousepad for this black one

    • +2

I own one - great mouse, 3310 sensor, comfortable, and a steal for $28.

62169 is HOTS mouse, discontinued. Worse sensor, but as good ergo for small-med hands

      • Link to the HOTS mouse?

      • Is the sensor that bad?
Should i return mine for this one?

        • What are you using the mouse for? Gaming?

ADNS-9500 is the sensor that the mouse uses - same as Sensei RAW.

It is 'bad' because it has acceleration which wouldn't matter much outside gaming.

        • @FFx0:

Yes. Specifically a cheap gaming mouse for FPS.

For no more than $40… i pulled the trigger on the heros of storm edition.

Bf1 feels nicer… (still super pooor at it)

    • Alternatively, MSY, Mwave, and Pccasegear are selling these Ambidextrous Gaming Mouse for $29:
      http://www.coolermaster.com/peripheral/mice/mastermouse-lite…

      • What would you say is better for gaming? Both look about the same style and buttons

        • Depends on what you mean by better.

          Some people aren't right-handed.
Some people like smaller, lighter mice. Some don't.
Some people like to grip their mice in a claw or fingertip fashion, some prefer palm grip.
Some people don't need more than 2000dpi, some people need up to 6500dpi (especially for 4k monitors).

At this price point, deciding factor generally comes down to the shape of the mouse IMO. And from personal experience, the Steelseries Rival feels great - the thumb buttons are nice and big and the shape of the mouse provides a comfortable experience with grippy textured sides.

    • +1

I've been using my Rival 300 for almost 2 years now. No complains. I only play DoTA 2 though. Enough for 3k MMR casual gaming.

  • Paid $50+ during last eBay sale, should have waited :-(

    • +1

      Any comments on the mouse?

      • Haven't received it yet :(

  • The dual bay hard drive caddy is a great price at $19.

    • I bought a unitek one in the last sale. Didn't work with my 4tb hard drive but worked on 1tb ones.

      • was it this one?

says 4tb is supported.. weird. what hard drive is it btw?

here is the amazon link for the dual bay one if you'd like to read reviews.

        • Nah it was the $16 one in the previous sale and the drive came up as drive not initialized.

  • I've needed another one of these mice! Great deal :D

  • i am waiting for the Logitech g502 sale again.

    • Good move, it's a great mouse ;)

Perhaps the best even for gamers who don't mainly play FPS or MOBA games. Still a great mouse even for mainly FPS players but MOBA players might not like having less buttons than a mouse designed for MOBA players.

      • How many mouse buttons do you need for MOBAs??? You have 4 abilities and maybe a couple of actives.. MMOs are what require a ton of mouse buttons, because you run out of keybinds easily even with shift/ctrl modifiers.

        • +1

I generally only see 1 mouse bind on dota players. I use none currently, I agree you only need alot for MMOs.

  • +1

For anyone considering purchasing the Astone enclosure, I would advice factoring in the additional cost of another USB cable if you arent the most careful user. The included one isnt the best and can get damaged quite easily (the wiring anyways) compared to the likes of the ones included with your standard WD drivers etc.

In regards to the connector on the actual enclusre (where the usb head is inserted), it is relatively strong (or at least as strong as any other out there) so there is no need to worry about that part.

Great enclosure though. Certainly a steal at this price.

    • Hi @RappyGreens, do you happen to know if the enclosure allows for SMART passthrough and supports TRIM commands for SSDs? Having trouble finding the info and it sounds like you have got one.

      • +1

Yes. They both work. Though I have to say, TRIM is a bit buggy sometimes.

  • I am waiting for the SanDisk Extreme SDCZ80 64G sale again.

    • I am not sure what price it was on sale for the SanDisk, however have you had a look at this from PLE Computers?

      https://www.ple.com.au/Products/623095/Silicon-Power-Blaze-B…

      $39 (Excl shipping)

Great drive (free shipping for orders =>$200). Silicon Powers warranty is decent as well. An RMA only took about 3 weeks to get a new one to me. Not as fast as the SanDisk I know, but it is a decent alternative worth considering. Especially at that price.

      • +1

Can't say about the quality as google doesn't reveal much, but the speed is not even close to SDCZ80. No stock in either of their 3 stores. Probably good for everyday usage, but I'm looking for that red car :)

        • I have been using my current one for about 14 months now. The previous one died in its first month (plugged into faulty USB port).

For me that seems pretty good. Each to their own though.

They can also ship the product over from a different store just FYI. Either way, best of luck with the wait.

        • @RappyGreens:

I'm not saying they are bad, just that you can't compare apples and oranges. Given that they don't state the speed is dead giveaway. SDCZ80 is a lot faster and I assume better quality too. For majority B31 should do job just fine but I want this one. Missed a few good deals before, now waiting is the game.

        • @bargainparker:

Not sure what you are on about. All I said in that post was that it was of decent quality and that PLE can ship accross stores. Wasnt suggesting it to you. Also made it clear that it was not going to be as fast nor as good as the SanDisk in my first post.

    • I know!!

What the hell is wrong with me that I'm waiting for USB key to go on sale

      • @Telios

Nothing. It means we are in the same boat :)

  • I can't find any reviews on the earphones?

    • I have a pair that I paid $45 for and I think they are pretty good value. Going to buy two more.

  • Still going strong using the $10 Steel Series Kinzu mouse from this deal https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/121519

    • +1

      Using it right now too.

    • +1

Haha, I still haven't even open mine yet, it will become an antique one day, spent too much $ on ozbargain deals for items I don't really need …

  • awesome, definitely picking up that Steelseries mouse

  • +2

How much do we have to spend to get free shipping?

  • Does anybody own those $22 Bluetooth headphones? For the price, look like they'd be a good backup to my backbeats.

    • Yep, I have some. Going to buy 2 more at this price!

  • Just to add, they are also selling the SteelSeries large cloth mousepad for $5. Pretty good price if you prefer cloth, considering their mini QcK retails for $10.

    • Too bad the shipping costs almost double the mousepad for me. :(

  • The Qck Mass mouse pads are absolutely brilliant for $5. Mine has seen heavy use for over 6 years, no fraying, no peeling. Great size overall.

    • I have just the Qck (2mm thickness instead of 6mm) and its been great so far, going to be grabbing a pair of these and comparing, even adding shipping costs its still cheaper than buying from others in-store

  • How's MSy's delivery these days if you order online? Or is click and collect only?

    • There is a delivery option but I've never used it

  • Great deal if you can get one. Got the Rival 100 when it came out - very tempted by the 300.

  • Is the mouse worth getting guys? Not really a gamer. Only play casually but looking for a comfy mouse. Not a big hand admittedly

Currently using free Gamdias mouse which came with the previous msy deal Gamdias E1 mech keyboard combo.
Not the comfiest / most ergonomics mouse for my hand size i feel

  • Would this mouse be a good choice for someone with Trump-sized hands

    • Honestly would also like to know this. Have smaller hands, wondering if this mouse is suitable?

    • I have Trump sized hands I find this offensive! My tiny fingers are angrily typing away om my keyboard while I shake my minute fist at the screen.

      • FAKE NEWS nothing wrong with my hands!

    • Bought it today, better for someone with Arnold Schwarzenegger sized hands.

  • +3

Hey guys. Is there a specific time this starts? On the site it's still it's normal price.

    • +1

Just called up to one of the stores and they mentioned they are still trying to update the prices online. However if you go to the store, you'll just need to show the promotion and be charged at that price.

      • Legend, thanks - I'll check back in an hour cause I'm at work, glad I'm not missing something!

  • +1

    Can't find product online. Help?

  • why MSY does not set a specific time for sale?

    • Give them time. They are trying to hire a Full Stack programmer to upload the sale.

  • I just picked up the mouse pad and mouse, I was amazed to see the emotion of surprise in the guy who served me when he scanned in the product and saw the $5 price.

  • For those expecting the pad, it was sold out at 11.45 on ultimo. I was the last buyer of the mouse pad.

    • we both were ;)

      • it's it all sold out? i want the mousepad only but the price is not updated yet.

        • yes sold out at ultimo

      • What a world. Did you just buy everything on the discounted items?

        • nah just 2 mouse the hdd dock and 2 mousepads (only got 1 lol ;P)

  • So this is likely to be sold out online by the time online ordering is available :/

  • the mouse mat is huge

  • Mousemat and mouse is out of stock at North Melbourne.

    • Wish I can go and grab it but I am working. And the price online is still not yet changed. 100% sure it will change to sold out by today

  • +1

Just bought the last 2 headphones from the Adelaide city store and 2 of the mouse mats. They had the specials page stuck up around the store, but the prices in the register had not yet been updated. The sales guy was surprised at the price of the mouse mat and put one aside for himself. :)

  • Bought the last headphone from Cannington , there still plenty of mousepad available

  • +1

mouse back to full price on the vic online store?

    • Yep same for me, Victoria store has mouse and mouse pad at full price. Does anyone know how we can purchase? Can't leave work:(

  • +1

Just bought the mouse from Auburn store, they said the price wasn't updated in the system but charged me $28.

  • Yeah online prices have not updated :(

  • Everything is still full price online, and in stock. I would normally call if it was anyone else, but they almost never answer.

  • +1

Mousepad and mouse in stock at auburn as at 2:30pm

    • And you can see the updated price?

      • +1

  • +1
