          @Sage: you can buy a pre-owned kinect from ebay, or eb games. If you already have one, not sure if you are aware of this, but last Christmas Microsoft had a program where they provided free sensor adapters to those with older consoles.

          Yup, I received mine fairly quickly. The process is that you need to have the original Xbox One registered to your account then you register your new S model to start the claim process. Im not sure if you require to have a kinect Registered as well but i did have my kinect registered as a separate device to my account when i claimed for the free adaptor.

          For those that plan to sell their original, wait till you register the new console before you unregister the original from your account when prepping to sell.

          I remember seeing the adaptor for sale separately as an accessory if you arnt eligable to claim for a free one.

        I've been able to drunkenly yell at my Xbox to turn on and off for 3 or 4 years now, that feature is worth it alone

        it also turns on my tv and my home theatre setup by itself

      It's because people were having a big whinge about the Kinect being on all the time and supposedly spying on them for Microsoft. Very disappointing as I thought the Kinect had potential if done correctly.

    Thanks op! Looks like the Forza bundle isn't available until the 7/3 however. Any idea how long this promo will run for? I've been debating the One S for a while purely as a 4K Blu-ray player, I think this will seal the deal.

          inflation makes it cheap in comparison to some previous nintendo consoles. people will happily pay $469 for a powerful nintendo branded android tablet with built in controls. not me though. im too cheap

          the Wii U is still $429 same as when it came out and I've never seen a special so I don't think Nintendo will ever lower the price if the way the marketed the Wii U is the same as the way they will market the Switch.

    Tempting, but from what I understand 500gb probably isn't enough for more than a few games to be installed at any given time.. Don't really want to have to buy an additional external drive either. But then again, it's cheaper than upgrading my PC to run ME: Andromeda..

      You can get a few AAA titles (maybe 3x100gb then a lot of smaller games from live. That's what I did on my ps4, who plays 10+ games at the same time?!

        Suppose that's true, but my internet connection is currently garbage (although moving to NBN sometime in the near future) so re-downloading games when I feel like playing them would be a real pain.       External hard drive does work really well. I've had a 2TB seagate that cost me like $100 plugged in and never had to touch it. just sits on top on my xbox out of sight.

    So say hypothetically a person bought a bundle from big w which included the minecraft bundle and some other games but they didn't get the downloadable games and big w is refusing to do anything to help. This hypothetical person has already set up the xbox and installed the minecraft games so a return isn't possible. What if they were to buy one of these minecraft bundles, put it in the original big w consoles box and return it?

      I bought a New 3DS XL from Target, unpacked it and started using it, and a few days later they (Target) had an ebay sale where I could get one for like $80 cheaper. So I bought one from the eBay sale, once I received it returned it using the receipt from the original more expensive one.
      It was the same store so I had no ethical issues doing so.
      This is different stores though, so hmm.

    Does anyone know why xbox one s is selling for $300-450 on gumtree with 1 or 2 games? I want to sell mine with fifa but I don't want to be a jerk about it, i expected $230 would be enough or$20 for each extra second hand game considering i bought it for $290 in December?

    Purchased the Forza Horizon 3 bundle. It comes with a digital download code so I get one copy for Xbox One and one copy for Windows 10. Been meaning to buy the game on PC anyway, and since the PC version is only digital it's always full price (~$100) on the Microsoft store. So I'm effectively saving another $100 with this bundle. Very happy.

        $299 delivered. Make sure you choose the 500GB model, the 1TB model is still full price at $499. You can always attach an external HDD to the XBox if you need more space anyway.
