    nah, it tastes way cheaper. they used some cheaper essence, its not terrible though, its also cheaper than standard vanilla coke so hey its not all that bad

    Yeah that's what I thought too. It's not as subtle as Vanilla Coke, but it's got its own unique flavour, and tastes better than boring Pepsi Max IMO.

  bought a 10-pack of this expecting it to be like vanilla coke…was sorely disappointed. :(

    So you bought a 10 pack of Pepsi, which tastes nothing like Coke, but you expected it to taste like Coke.

      i expected the vanilla flavour to be similar to coke, yes. not sure why that is so surprising? they are competing cola products. obviously the base product tastes different, but the "vanilla" in the pepsi max tastes horrible and fake compared to that in vanilla coke.

  Finally a targeted offer I wanted to get, and I got it! And I actually buy Pepsi Max from Coles, but I guess I haven't bought from them in a while! I've been buying Pepsi Max from Woolworths! Ha! I've tried the Pepsi Max Vanilla already, it does have a caramel taste to it, tastes "cheaper" than Vanilla Coke that's for sure, but without the sugar obviously!
