  • As usual forumninja, you've done it again.

PS: There seems to be another one in this batch, for Trenery - Spend $140, get $40 back, got it in app but can't see on Web for a link. (possibly targeted?)

  • -4

    Lucky I'm in Europe

    • For your wallet?

  • +1

Thanks forumninja. A few of these didn't show up on Amex Connect so appreciate the manual enrolment links. Cheers!

  • +4

    Free taxi?

    Oh only $20.

    I'll stick to walking

    • Would have missed ingogo but for your comment. With weekly travel for work and two cards, you saved me $120. Champ!

      • +1

Isn't it a $20 saving per card, not $60? How did you calculate $120?

        • My bad. Use three times and get $20. Effectively $40 after 6 trips..

        • @pinnacle:

          $40 after 3 trips!

        • @kungpow:

Pinnacle meant $40 saving after 6 trips ($20 for 3 trips).

        • @amsaini15:

Yes if you have 2 cards..

        • Im assuming that each trip must have min. spend of 20$ to qualify?

    • You forgetting the wear and tear on shoes
Get out of the cab on the $20 mark

      • +1

        Who says I wear shoes?

    • Here's an idea for a youtube clip. Spend upto a max of $20.00 out of the airport with both ingogo and the uber (funded free with their respective offers). Compare the reaction of the drivers and the distance you get.

      Nice social experiment

For those shopping with the Iconic remember theres also a 10% code and 15% off code with Unidays.

    • Do they stack with CashRewards? How do I get my grubby hands on them?

      • +2

I'd reckon they'd stack as my order on Friday went through.

With Unidays you enter a code and The Iconic on Friday had a 10% off code in the coupon section.

So go through Cashrewards, enter the code and pay with Amex. Gives you a hefty discount.

        • Yep that's what I did, although the 10% discount only applied to some of the Sport section items.

Cash Rewards hasn't registered the purchase yet, which I find has been happening a fair bit lately as they don't seem to track it well. Sometimes it triggers in a few days and sometimes it just never comes through :(

  • Got the missus' bday coming up, but have zero idea what she'd like from the iconic (I know she's on there all the time). Not a big fan of saying "choose something and I'll buy it for your bday", but it looks like their gift cards isn't available.. anyone have any ideas?

    • +1

Show initiative and pick her something / anything, it's the thought that counts. She's got 100 days to return it for free.

      • +1

Ask her to give you a general idea on what she might like. Either that or sneak through the history on her PC and see what she has been looking at. (this might be a bad idea if it is all Chippendales pictures).

  • Thanks OP - Love me my Aveda shampoos. Also thanks for the manual links - my login didn't show Aveda either.

  • +5

iconic has 25% off today as well code SAVE25

  • +5

    None of them interest me….

    Where is WW, DM etc?

  • Thanks OP

Amex is becoming like eBay - a deal/offer every few weeks

    • +12

except Amex offers are genuine and ebay is rife with price increases

      • +6

Can't wait for their shop small promo.

  • Just did a comparison for Uberx vs ingogo and found ingogo to be steeper. Of course the price is fixed so that's a plus.

Sydney 11km journey taking 22mins with no congestion
    Ingogo $39.45
    Uberx $25-34

    • I find it depends on the trip, if Uber starts to go on surge, or if there is significant traffic, the prices become comparable quickly. I probably use Uber more regularly, but there are some times when ingogo is a good choice.

Used ingogo to travel to Sydney Airport in October at a peak time - paid just under $60 for what would have been a $90 if metered (the traffic around the airport was shocking).

When travelling with ingogo you also earn Qantas points for the fare (I'm not sure if it's still available but I got 250 points for my first three rides when they launched the Qantas partnership).

  • Does anyone know if you can save these offers to bank issued Amex credit cards? Or do they have to be direct from Amex?

    • +2

yes, its on my CBA Amex card..

    • +1

      yes you can, via amexconnect

      • That is excellent news, thanks.

    • +1

Or use the manual links provided. Saves you having to log in individually if you have multiple cards.

      • Ohhhh, THAT'S what they're for. This whole time I've been wondering why people bother with those when you can just sign in. Thanks for the tip.

    • +1

Yes. I registered my ANZ Amex

  • +1

Wholefoods and Park N Fly look to be Sydney only.

  • +5

im sitting myself and my card numbers out on this one, won't shop in any of these stores.

    More for everyone else

  • If I pay with PayPal account and used my AMEX card link to the account does that me eligible to get $15 from Under Armour.

    • +3

From what I've read based on previous comments on AMEX threads, that's a no. It has to be directly from the business.

    • No, as Amex only knows you spent with PayPal - it doesn't know that you spent at Under Armour.

  • Can someone please link me on how to get AMEX? I quite often see AMEX deals on here and I think I might as well get one. I have no real idea how it works though. Should I just sign up for an AMEX credit card? srry im pre dumb I tend to stay away from banks.

    • Yes, basically just sign up for a card. If your primary reason is the cashback offers, and a free card will do, then there are 3 to consider: Essential card, which I posted in detail about here, Qantas Discovery and Velocity Escape. The last two are better for those who prefer to redeem flights, but Essential is better for redeeming points as cash back into account.

      • +1

thank you so very much sir ! appreciate it.

        • You are welcome. Just a heads-up, Qantas Discovery card is undergoing change currently, Amex removed the part about bonus points on application. So if this is the card you are interested, pls read carefully.

        • +1

          @bluesky:
ahh ok ill keep that in mind, but I was thinking ill just go for the essential card I guess I only need it for redeeming offers and stuff because I buy a lot online.

    • +1

Apply through a referral for bonus points: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/wiki/american_express_referrals

      • thanks man, will do !

  • +1

Dont forget for Under Armor there is a 10% code on the Unidays site :)

    • Thanks. Too bad I already placed my order yesterday but maybe others can benefit.

    • can you please share the code?

      • Codes are personalised from unidays I do believe.

  • Iconic offer expired: Unfortunately the maximum number of Card Members have already enrolled in this offer. Please visit http://www.amexconnect.com.au for other fabulous offers.

    Sad face.

  • +1

Dang just reread the ingogo taxi offer three times spend should have just stuck with Uber which was cheaper anyway

    • Damn thanks for pointing that out. I read it as 3 x $20 at first.

      • +1
