The screen looks bent. Is that why it's reduced?

      Very, very big box!

      • I have this screen and can confirm the box is massive!

    • Who would have thought, in this instance courier is actually cheaper than Australia Post eParcel.

      • This happens quite regularly now with all the AusPost price hikes.

  • Rep what's a way to pay without a surcharge?

    • For delivery you can use Direct Deposit, but will have to wait for the payment to clear before shipment.

Alternatively, we of course accept cash and eftpos for pick up customers.

    • Cash???

      • You offering to pay for my return flight to Melb?! Thanks JV. All those bad things people say about you aren't true.

  • If you are in Sydney you can get it from Mwave (pickup) for same price, but they charge 2% on cards. Postage to 4000 according to Mwave is Nationwide Delivery $37.68
    Nationwide Express $180.62.

  • Is it x34p model? 100hz guaranteed?

    • The x34p was never released and there is still no confirmed release date.
Rumours for its release include 2016, Q2 2017 and potentially as far away as Q4 2017 (https://www.reddit.com/r/ultrawidemasterrace/comments/5fc3wv…).

The x34a is not available in Australia (https://linustechtips.com/main/topic/620644-acer-predator-x3…).
To my knowledge, the x34a only has an updated stand which has sideways swivel, so it's really not all that important, unless you have an urgent desire to regularly turn your monitor left and right.

The x34 is advertised as hitting 100hz in "overclocked" mode, which isn't as bad as it sounds. You just turn the overclock option on in the monitors on screen display and from then on the computer will see it as a normal 100hz monitor.

      • X34P is confirmed for "end of April at the latest" lol.

      • +1

Actually it's “up to“ 100Hz, you're not guaranteed. I almost bought one after release but saw many issues in acer forums.

I've been waiting for the x34p to release ever since it was first announced. I've resisted buying a x34 for this long but hopefully I wont have to wait much longer and the x34p is released soon.

deals have to be the cheapest this isnt any cheaper then any other stores.

is it really a bargain if at the same price everywhere else

    • $1299 at Umart too. Seems that this is the standard going price now.

No bargain, same price at PCCasegear

  • +1

Still too much for me. I'll keep waiting. These will get to a reasonable price eventually.
