This is true. I went to the one in Sydney CBD today underneath Myer and theg didn't have the deal. Charged me full price.

Both Browns Plains in QLD stores had nfi about the deal around 10:30 today
Well they were wrong. Every QLD Store has the deal going from today. Ask for the manager and tell them it was on the marketing bulletin and that th button is in promo under 2.50 chips & gravy.
Well you could always just order it through the app under colones table :)

Yeah. Serving size is dodgily small. In fact I would say smaller than small chip. So basically you are paying 1.50 for gravy..
I agree mine was tiny as. Box looks the same, but it wasn't very full
I also didn't get a fork! Had to use my hands like an animal. ;)
Its meant to be a large chips ins size. Like your meant to fill up a large chips box then put it in the box. If you get a bad serving just take it back and ask for it to be filled properly.
I was going to, but it was sooo busy so I let it slide this time, 3 school kids behind me get them as well, they are not even half full,-(
Same here. I spoke with the manager and she said they were told by the "boss" to fill it up like regular chips.

You should have asked for a manager. It was on QLD registers and they should have known about it. If you try again ask them to look at the manager bulletin and it will say it started today.
Anyone dare ask for the large chips in the normal box as well as gravy? It is definitely closer to small than large… (at least the amount they put in my box today :( ) I would have asked if I knew how many chips I got. $1 small chips much better bargain IMO

OK good maybe it's just a variable thing. Sometimes when I get a large chips it's only 2/3 full when other times you can see the chips hanging out

Tried to get this at Kedron, QLD. Was informed that the offer wasn't available for their store.
It's Available at Kedron. Staff were not informed it had started, Just order it through the app.

I'll breifly explain the confusion. Every store always has to have a discounted cheap item promo on at all times. Well last months promo was 9 for $9.95 and the day after it ended the next cheap promo had to go up, but for QLD stores which always do 9 for $9.95, they can keep advertising this forever, and only low key sell the chips and gravy to keep up with any advertising for it done in other stores.
wonder if they let you swap the chips to something else… like they normally do
if so, you'd order 2… swap one for coleslaw, swap the 2 small gravy to a large… and for $5 you have large fries, coleslaw and potato gravy!No you cant. The menu item is "Chips + Gravy" Where as normally it would be

Yeah I asked my friend who is a manager at another KFC about it, he said the deal has started and link me a photo letting me know it started on that very day and to make sure customers are satisfied before they leave. The girl who served me is gonna regret not serving me those chips and gravy >:)

I asked for the $2.50 chips and gravy deal at Robina QLD today and was advised that I must mean the "Grilled Taster Box"

@joeno: the point? customer satisfaction suffers. if all customers were as complacent as you, we all get ripped off because management never learn their lesson and keep getting away with it.

My KFC in Newcastle put it through for $5.95 in the drive-thru. Just as I was about to correct him, a message came from the front area saying there was a deal for that, so the dude corrected it in the system.
Got the box, now technically it may be the same dimensions as a normal large chips. But because they put the gravy in there, plus they didnt fill it to the brim, I had to ask to try better next time. I didnt bother waiting for it to be fixed.Reasonable price for a 'medium' chips and gravy.
Its about 30% bigger box than Large chips which fits the gravy and the large chips. The chips should be full to the brim.

I had this for lunch yesterday and today and both times I did not get anywhere near a large serving of chips. When I ordered today I said my chips weren't a large serving last time and I was told they would make sure it's full today. It bloody well wasn't. It seriously is a small serving of chips. I don't know if the staff are just cheaping out or they actually don't realise it's meant to be a LARGE chips but putting this promo in its own little box was a bad idea - if I was given just a normal large chips and a gravy on the side I know they would be full.

Can any KFC employees confirm if this deal can only be ordered via the app? Subiaco WA store said the deal wasn't in their system and I had to order it with the app.
It should be available nationwide, Im not sure, you should have asked for a manager.

i'm trying another store tomorrow and hopefully i won't have to involve management or kfc hq. there is nothing in their advertising that would suggest this deal was an app exclusive offer
Its under the POS menu "Promo" for W/A. There are around 8 buttons there, and one of them says "Chips/Gravy" Its more the case that the staff member didn't think they were selling it yet because the posters didnt go up till today.

Sorry I have no idea. I was just copying and pasting what my KFC overlords were telling me to say.
I definitely received what looked like a small chips (if that) and a gravy. It was listed as chips and gravy not "large chips and gravy" as it is on the website. It's fine to say go back and complain but a) how do I prove they didn't put a large chips worth in and b) if I do drivethru am I expected to check each container and then go back to the person at the window who has already closed it? If they were genuine about giving you a large chips and gravy they would just use the regular large chips box. The whole point of this is to promote it as a large chips and gravy but then have the ability for stores that want to be stingy to give less. Sure, some may do the right thing, but many will be scrimping and saving. I'll add to the fact that there was no promotion at the store anywhere as evidence to back up that this store did not want to be honouring this promotion.
The point of not just putting a large chips box, is to make an easy container to pour your gravy over the chips and eat it with the fork. Your store should have had the advert up as a garden banner on the road side of the drive thru

Just bought one and I would be surprised if it even filled a small box….I specific said Large chips and gravy on the drive through and he repeated it.
The box definitely is large, but quantity if chips would be more like snack size if you get a box meal…..Oh and 'small' gravy. More like 'tiny gravy"

the first time I ordered the deal, it came in the white box and was definitely not a large chips (This was at Brisbane cbd). But today I ordered it again at Inala and asked for it to be in a large chips box instead of the usual white one. The cashier was unsure if they were allowed but they did it anyways :) im really happy with this deal but I'll keep asking for them to put in the large chips box from now on

@Hogg: Wasnt really OZB, just have a look at facebook posts. IMHO, your actually getting a large chips. You just genrally see the chips in a closed box and dont realise how little your getting, If you want to do a test, get a $2.50 chips/gravy and ask for a large chips cardboard box, then pour the chips into the box, see how much your getting.
My local store in WA is not accepting this
Sigh the nearest kfc is an hour train trip away.. I miss when it was just down the road.

Came home…
Went to KFC website, deal is on front page, with (not available at all stores) disclaimer on it…
DOES NOT TELL YOU WHICH DAMN STORES DO HAVE THE DEAL!
