It's what you get when you drain the oil from the chicken frying and add in water and a flavour mixture + heat and mix it for 30 minutes.

      • +4

        Yum 💩

      • and a flavour mixture

What is in the flavour mixture?

        • A foil packet, similar to which you get in taco seasoning mix, which you add into the gravy. No ingredients are in this bag. It's the same process which adds the herbs and spices into the flour.

        • @oscinator1988:

Don't think it's legal to not make ingredients available to the public.

      • That's terrifying.

Yes I realise that's basically how 'real' gravy is made…

    • +3

These are the ingredients listed in public knowledge

    • +3

What are the ingredients in the gravy ?

They make the gravy by collecting the deep fried chicken crumbs (called fines) from the pressure cooker.

This is mixed with water and gravy powder, then sieved.

      • +1

Whatever it is, tastes bloody good mate!!

      • And it's 'interesting' when they inadvertently make those crumbs hot and spicy!

    • +1

      Brown.

    • Who cares? This is one of the cases where you just remain ignorant and enjoy.

Gravy is free at KFC in Philippines and Thailand. They have gravy stations where the cutlery and serviettes are. But they also have rice instead of chips :(

    • They used to have free rice refills too.

    • The two reasons I go back to the Philippines

      1. To see my grandmothers
      2. Unlimited gravy… not just KFC but Maccas… get in my belly mmm

      Priorities right?
