Agreed! Cheapest i could find online however, If the price on Dicksmith ebay matched the same price advertised on the Dicksmith website plus the discount code it would have been a massive bargin.
Just fyi - this is a superb glass for the price imho. I have used one for several years now on a canon 650D and the image quality is so much better than the kit lens. Also, at 18mm the equivalent focal lenth on a croped sensor is 28mm which is mot too bad for street/walkabout photography. This is my go to lens when I travel now and at this price it is a bargin (usually about $340 for gray import, $299 us on amazon).
same price as I bought from kogan during last ebay deal,at earlier last year.
The 70-200mm F4 L series zoom for less than $600 (after discount) is also good value

If the mount is 100% same as the EF mount, it would be the best cheap alternative adapted option for Sony mirrorless cameras.
The sony mount is E (croped sensor) or FE (full frame) which is different to cannon EfS. You can get an adaptor but this adds to size and cost plus you generally loose the autofocus ability. MF is not such a great issue for wide angle stuff but not convinient.
EFS lens can be adapted with autofocus ability available via some adapters onto both Sony a6xxx series(for photo and video) and A7 series (crop photo mode and 4k video recording.)
The issue is EF lenses are adapted better than EFS lens onto Sony, EFS lenses have worse autofocus consistency through the adapters.

And i'm aware that a credit card checkout is not an option using this discount code.Very tempted. How much better would the ef-s 10-22mm 3.5 to 4.5 be? Or the Sigma 8-16mm 4.5to5.6? I know they're more expensive but will the glass be that much better?
Not much cheaper than normal online prices (on other sites) but still a good price for a W/A lense.
I am tempted but I must battle the urge to spend. lol
