Found this deal looking through Price Hipster. Regular price $1695, seems like an excellent price for a 65" UHD TV.

Note the series 3 models are nowhere near the series 7 models in spec and reviews.

Just as Samsung has an 8000, 7000, 6000 range that have nothing to do with age, so too does Hisense.

      • +1

        Interesting
        Thank

      • what do each of the ranges mean?

        • Similarities between the k3300uw and M7000, 4k, inputs, 3yr warranty, opera smart tv platform with apps like youtube, netflix, stan, plex.
          Edge lit LED

          Differences:
M7000: HDR out of the box, silver metal bezel. Wide colour gammit, one of the larger screen sizes is backlit led.

K3300uw: HDR over HDMI requires the latest firmware update, black bezel,

        • @epazero: thanks. how about the samsungs? they have so many model ranges its confusing as hell

    • It's not sequential. 3 series came out same time as 7. Just different lines.

  • How does the Sony 65 inch compared to this that was on sale recently? On eBay

  • For the 7000 series, some JB stores are still doing the $1598 price from January.

  • Jahjaman do you know what stores in Sydney are still doing the 7000 series for $1598 as that's the model I'm after?

    • PM me. I'm going today to confirm and pay for the 7000 series as I only had time yesterday to call around.

Once I've paid I'll be happy to provide the receipt.

Harvey Norman has very little stock of the 7000. JB still has a lot.

      • Jahjaman
I am planning to purchase the 7000 series also. Can you send a copy of the receipt - pm sent. Thanks

    • Interesting, I was thinking about this. Anything to back this up? Cant see on the Aldi website, and will it cover WA? Cheers!

      • I INCLUDED THE LINK(S)
Its not a full on smart TV. They seem to have removed all the smarts and now it only plays and records tv. So for smart TV functionality, buy a google chrome stick or the smart andriod box thats on sale as well. That will give you netflix/stan & FREEVIEW-TV (with the right apps installed)

    • Yeah - Aldi's 65" these days are quite good quality. I had a Soniq 65" 4K, and my parents got a Aldi 65", and it shat all over mine. When you tinker with the settings, it turns into a great TV. Has HDCP 2.2 and HDMI 2.0 as well. Just grab yourself a chrome cast, telstra tv, fetch tv, ps4 or xbox one and it's good to go. I sold my Soniq this weekend, so definitely picking up one of these next Saturday.

Reviews of this TV are far from flattering and the general consensus on various forums is that Hisense are way better than Bauhn.

      • Yes indeed, and 1 year vs 3 year warranty should also be remembered when considering value for money.

Is the price difference between series 3 and 7 justified? And what's the difference anyway? HDR and local dimming? How important that is?

    • I can't see the JB one for 1598…I get 1998

      • You need to do some calling around. I managed to find a store that would do it for 1,598. PM me for deets

Same TV at Able Home and Office only $1157

    • Great buy at that price. I paid $1350 some months ago and am very happy. HDR can be enabled via a firmware update.

      • Do you have a link to the firmware update? Just to confirm before I buy one, that this Series 3 TV does support 4K with HDR through the HDMI? i.e my PS4 Pro will display HDR with this TV? If so, that's unreal.

        • Check out the Hisense KU3300uw forum on Whirlpool Forums. Around page 17-20 are links posted from owners of the different sized TVs for the newest AU firmware. If you have time skim through all the pages as you will find more info from PS4 Pro owners who use this TV.

      • Where is that documented?

  • Expired.

Harvey Norman also will NOT price match Able Home and Office's $1157.

  • i couldn't find this offer from harvey norman.

  • when are the new 2017 models going to hit Australia?

    • Series 8 and 9 sometime in July according to the press release

  • got it at Harvey Norman Maribyrnong for $1200 …
