  • And you only put 50L in it … mine takes 125L so I'd save $11.25 even if the Starter was never used. :)

However, is this state based? … I thought there was some issue with too large discounts at servos or something?

  • You'd save $36.25 with Starter so that's extra saving of $5 and free Coles Starter pack ;)
should be nationwide, there was nothing mentioned on promotion screen at servo.

It's midnight so my maths could be out:
      125 x $0.25 = $31.25 - $20 = $11.25 (plus Coles Starter pack)
plus $5 for the usual 4c/l saving

      • Yes, you are right !! Misread your last comment.

  • LPG ?

    • Fuel was mentioned on promotion, so I hope Petrol/Diesel/LPG is included.

      • ok thats good mine takes 80 liters so save $20 and pay $10 more for optus pack.

So TOTAL SAVINGS $14.64?? Why not buy the $30 Optus Kit for $10 ($20 Savings)?

  • Holy crap 160. That's extortion, even for your fancy v-power
You'd save 20c/litre just by filling up at the bottom of the cycle.

These two sites/apps might also help, around here price can vary between same branded stations on the same day within a few km of each other:
      Petrol Spy https://petrolspy.com.au/
      MotorMouth https://motormouth.com.au/

      • Also My NRMA app does fuel prices. Might hack into the same data.

How are Coles doing this. I thought the ACCC made them abide by a max 4 cent discount only

** edit, its Coles Express and they're allowed to do it :( **

    https://www.accc.gov.au/media-release/coles-and-woolworths-u…

The key aspects of the undertakings include:

    Coles and Woolworths may continue to offer fuel saving offers to their supermarket customers, but any discounts on fuel offered to supermarket customers from 1 January 2014 are not to exceed 4 cents per litre;

at their service stations, Coles and Woolworths may still offer discounts on fuel (including discounts in excess of 4 cents per litre), but from 1 January 2014, all fuel discounts (including those offered by the supermarkets) must be funded from within their fuel retailing operations (including associated convenience stores and other activities at their service stations).

    • i think it only is allowed in tassie.

I think that's true for quite a few things :)

  • Do both Starter Packs have expiry dates?

    • I bought Coles starter pack & its expiry is 1 Dec 2018, not sure about Optus.

      • Coles Starter pack also says must be activated within 30 days of purchase

If I am not wrong, the gift cards, tobbaco and phone recharges do not qualify for $20 spend.

    • Any link to the 15c/L Mobile Promo?

    • I was under the same impression. But if you see the receipt, I got 10cents off for $20 spend in store and I spent that on Coles Mobile Starter pack.

It's 25c off the Coles price of fuel, not the normal price of fuel

Yes. The 7/11 - Mobil across the road from a Coles - Shell I pass every day is always at least 10 cents cheaper than the Coles.
There's another 7/11 another km away that's a further 10 cents cheaper again!

  • if i could be redeemable at costco :)
