VideoPro and JB have already matched or slightly beaten (by a $ or 2) this price.

  • Normal price. I got it at about $1000 after ebay 20% and price protection insurance from 28 degrees.

    • +1

Price protection only works if you find it cheaper from the same retailer, so how did you manage to apply that?

  • +3

Quite a bit cheaper at Bing Lee eBay - $1423.10 with CAU5 code or $1463.10 shipped + get another $38 or so cashback on top.

It was recently $1185 shipped at VideoPro eBay sale but sold out after a few days, pre discount price there was $1493.

    Alternatively available at:

    $1498 JB Hi-Fi
    $1496 (Shipped) Videopro
    $1495 Harvey Norman

    • Free shipping at Sony.

  • HDMI Audio Return Channel (ARC) missing? Can't find from specs..

    • It has ARC. I have it connected to a Samsung soundbar with ARC and works well.

  • Is it worth it, or hisense 4k?

    • +1

Depends if you want 4K or not…

    • +1

That depends, do you like apples or oranges better?

  • Don't forget you get free delivery with Sony Online store

    • Also Earn bonus 2.40% cashback at Sony

    • Its with DHL supply chain though.

Good price for the size of the display, but I think its best to pay a bit more and get a good brand 4K

Or get a Hisense M7000 with a 3 year warranty and get a way better TV for your $ over a "good brand"

      • +1

Because the Hisense brand is Soooooooo much better than Sony. Good one fanboy.

        • The Hisense 75" 7000 series is a good TV tho but if they were both 75", 4k and the same price or the Sony was a little bit more, id get the Sony.

        • +1

No the Hisense brand name is a lot worse than the Sony brand. Are we buying tvs or brands here? That was my whole point… Don't just go for a "good brand" when a Hisense brand TV will deliver a lot better TV for your money.

Hisense TV for $1000 will be better than a Sony TV for $1000. Same with a $2500 amount.

Great contribution to the discussion Gershom….

        • @rakerr: you're welcome 😀

        • +1

@rakerr: If you're going to do gaming/sports on it, who wants a Hisense? Please.

  • Warning still have not received my tv i ordered a month ago on the sony frenzy sale. DHL lost the first one sent and sony sent out a second order last week and now new tracking number has stopped working. Might have to call them soon again.

  • Decent TV, have it as a back-up for movies and games and doesn't disappoint.

    • +2

Backup? Do you store it behind an even bigger screen or under the bed?

      • I prefer my larger Bravia TV but with a busy household you best have an affordable backup screen for Kodi, gaming etc

        • -1

Its a TV not USB stick, I don't see how a TV will fail so soon that u need to buy a backup, just my 2 cents

        • @bti_jet: As in a plan B when other people i.e. kids and friends of kids are using the larger one.
