Google Chromecast Ultra $88 ($83.60 Officeworks Pricebeat), Logitech MK220 Wireless Keyboard/Mouse $18 (Was $34) @ Harvey Norman

Google Chromecast Ultra $88 ($83.60 via Officeworks Price Beat)

Only $11 off the regular price, but $6 less than the last deal and the best you are probably going to get anytime soon, since the cheapest on eBay is $114 or so before any codes (Officeworks eBay been out of stock for a long time.)

You can price beat at Officeworks to get it for $83.60 if your store has stock.

The main advantages of the Chromecast Ultra over the Chromecast 2 is that it supports 4K streaming and has a wired ethernet port. If you want a Chromecast but don't have a 4K TV or 4K streaming/HDR isn't important to you (some may like to future proof), then you can just get a Chromecast 2 for $30 or so cheaper than the Ultra (or even cheaper when a deal is on).

Logitech MK220 Wireless Keyboard $18 (Was $34)

A very popular deal last time at $16. Currently $22 at MSY.

Features

  • The compact keyboard design cuts out excess to be 36 percent smaller than standard keyboards, while still containing all the standard keys.
  • Whisper quiet keys cause keystrokes to barely make a noise, so you can concentrate on what you are listening to – rather than the keyboard.
  • Don’t worry about having to change batteries all the time – the keyboard's battery life last 24 months while the mouse will run for 5.
  • 2.4GHz wireless provides up to 10m of interference free access, allowing you to access media from the comfort of your couch.

Almost the same price as a Mi Box 4K media player with Chromecast built in as a bonus.

    Way more for your buck.

    • So which has better value?

  • +2

Be aware of the blue tint issue the chromecast ultra currently has. No word on a fix except that Google is "currently investigating" have to reboot mine nearly every day

..Tonight on 60 minutes, is your wife having an affair.. with your chromecast!? Stay tuned for an interview with someone from the intelligence community you will NOT believe!

      • The advertising pays for Google's "free" products. If you don't want to see the advertising, there's a very simple solution…

  • In my opinion the mouse that comes with the keyboard is very good, great battery life and feels good. Can't say the same for the keyboard (Though it is compact).

    • I really like the keyboard. It doesn't take up any unnecessary space on the desk and feels pretty good when used flat (I find that using a keyboard's "legs" can contribute to RSI). I've just ordered two.

  • I'm just after a decent wireless mouse for my ultrabook. Don't nees the keyboard. Would this still be worth it?

For $18 yes, might be a different story if this was full price.

  • Also worth noting the ultra supports HDR for YouTube, if you have a HDR tv that is.

    • It's also worth noting that if someone already has a device for streaming like the chromecast, that the ultimate is not a viable upgrade - Waiting is the best option, the ultra seems like it was rushed and has some with many issues, including major issues like blue hue.

The "Ultra 2" or whatever they choose to name it, will be MUCH better - You can make this guess from Google's past product releases.

.. If you do need something in the mean time - the Mi Box 4K is 100% your best choice.

      • No issues with mine but if I had the blue tint issue, I would be pretty annoyed too.

    • I watch YouTube everyday but have never seen or used HDR function for that. I have 4k HDR TV with Android OS. So this HDR function for YouTube could be a gimmick.

  • Keyboard and mouse show up as $27.20 if I go to the site via cash rewards but $18 if I go through the link on here. Anyone know what I'm doing wrong?

    • There's no Cashrewards on Harvey Norman regular store, that is for their business and education store. It must be more expensive there.

      • Ok,thank you

    Great deal description!

  • Cashrewards says "Shipping is free when you spend $100 or more." but when I add the 4K Chromecast and the Logitech MK220 Wireless Keyboard it still wants $7.95 for standard shipping. Anyone managed to get free shipping?

    • That is for the Harvey Norman Business & Education store, cashrewards doesn't apply to this.

  • Went to a few Officeworks stores in Sydney and try to get price match for the Chromecast Ultra, but none of them any in stock despite the website indicating the particular store has it in stock. Even the staff said they should have stock, but they can't find it. I suspect the buggers gone and hidden all the stocks to avoid a price match.

    • Maybe ask them to bring the item out first and then tell them about price match. If they won't, just walk out
