Might be able to price match at JB and combine with the 30 dollars off coupon as well.

can I make phone calls with this phone?
I'm guessing you didn't see the original title of "Pixel 9 pro 897".
Pixel 9 Pro 128GB? $897 @ officeworks (+ delivery)
Please use the title format of other posts similar to above,
Otherwise, thanks for the post !
It's one thing to be a bit lazy with following the title guidelines, but it's another thing entirely to not even add a dollar symbol.
Worth noting that this is the 128GB model at $897, the 256GB model is listed for $1047.
In 128GB, the available colours are:
Hazel, Obsidian (Unavailable online), Porcelain.
In 256GB, the available colours are:
Obsidian, Porcelain (Unavailable online).Let's forgive L plater and kudos to him/her for posting first deal in 5 yrs…
Damn after the 1tb which I can't find anywhere
Could've got the 10pro for this with Harvey Norman + etc payout. Meh
dont think you can ?
Yes you could.
I got this deal and in theory it's 966 but I'm not sure it's possible to cancel after 120 days without paying a fifth month. Anyone else know or have experience?
is the price in the room with us
I sweat officeworks artificially reduce its stock from the website every time there's a decent deal on phones. Almost every officeworks deal posted here has basically zero stock anywhere in Brisbane.
No need to sweat over it, life's too short.
I was like "WTF is this guy on about". Then I saw the typo.
To be fair. I do sweat a lot. It's Brisbane after all…
I ordered one when it said 1 left in stock, then much later it still said 1 left in stock. I think they have more than 1 but aren't being honest about it.
Came here to read the comments about poor title and missing price, only to discover this IS the revision
What's even funnier is the the revision removed the price from the title!
It wouldn't go much lower than this for an outright price unless you wait till or near Pixel 11 release. The best time to buy for Pixel and Samsung is always during pre-order, even then its never below $600 for their flagship.
You're spot on. Really poor effort by me as I thought this was the 9. First time I've done that….Apologies for the dumb comment.
Yeah, there's no chance this is dropping to ~$500 any time soon.
Not sure, but my GF used a Pixel 3 for 4 years with no problems, then got a Pixel 8 and loves it. This looks like it would be good for photography, plus nice bright screen and Google haptics/software. I'm tempted, but will probably wait to see what Apple brings out next week.
I moved away from Samsung many years ago because of the bloatware you cant remove from it.
ngl, I hate Samsung phones, my Dad used it long time ago, feel so weird and he changed to something else within 6 months
Same, OneUI is also just frustrating to use in general
And trying WAY too hard to be iOS.
Agree. 2025 and they STILL won't let you get rid of the garbage they fill it with. Haven't touched Samsung for this reason in years. Value for money, it's just too hard to go past a Pixel, particularly given their superior photo quality.
Two words, well ROMS - GrapheneOS and CalyxOS
As someone that just moved from an S23 to a Pixel 10 Pro (and had used 2 other Samsung phones before that), I did so for four main reasons which also apply to this deal:
- Very good cameras without the phablet size
- Out of the box software is great - way more cohesive and coherent than Samsung OneUI
- Good pre-order and trade in deals
- GrapheneOS
Phones like the S25 Ultra and OnePlus 13 are too big for my personal taste, while the iPhone 16 Pro is literally 2x how much I got my Pixel 10 Pro for. All of those phones have more performant SoCs than the Pixel 9/10, but I don't do anything where that performance difference actually matters.
Having said all that, I'm not sure that a Pixel 9 Pro at this price makes sense. You could've gotten a 10 Pro at, or slightly above, this price literally last week.
Where was the 10 Pro anywhere near $897?
I got mine for $997 including JB Hi-Fi's $350 pre-order gift card and $350 trade in bonus from this deal. I guess $997 isn't quite $897 and the $350 only really counts as a discount if you were going to spend that much at JB anyway.
I have the 8 pro and its miles better than my wife's iphone 15.
Agreed. I have a frd who has gone through a pixel phones every 2 years due to battery going to shits. Pretty sure they recently had few issues with their battery requiring recalls? Google is a software company afterall.
My galaxy S20 FE from 2020 is still going strong. I do use nova launcher though so one UI does not bother me too much.
I am on my 3rd Google phone now, reliability has not been amazing long term, but all of them lasted roughly 2-3 years. I think its worth highlighting that their warranty and support was excellent. My first two phone failures both ended in full refunds, even though I owned the phones for years. My current 7A just got the battery fault payout, so I havent paid for my 3rd Pixel phone either now. So financially, in the long run, its actually been amazing.
Graphene OS ;)
1) You can't get rid of their garbage bloatware besides disabling it.
2) They're blatantly copying Apple in almost everything they do.It's so cringe how bad they want to be like Apple.
Are these mostly being used as data collectors in your pocket to train their AI and give you ads? At least they should sell it a lot cheaper or even pay us to carry them.
Aren't all smartphones doing this?
But this is by an ads company! Do you think it's the same? Like Apple gets revenue from hardware, Google from ads. Do you think your data is treated the same?
Thanks OP, got one using the exploding 6a bucks, so technically comes to about $250 for me. I just have to survive another day until it's delivered
Haha I imagine quite a few are in the same boat.
Is this an ATL for the 9 Pro, excluding the plan sign-up and cancel method?
Telstra had it for $699.
Whoever got this is still laughing.
Loving GrapheneOS on pixel nice to finally have real privacy and not see ads because it's listening or shares your location
Does Graphene still have call screening? I have not had a scam call in years since I got my pixel 7a. If in doubt, I screen the call. If it's a scam, I let it tell them to F#$% off.
It's own in built one? Not that I know of. I never answer calls anyway unless it's saved. But im 100% sure you can get it working for GOS if you wanted it like it tells you already what company that number comes from or if scam number etc… What I like about GOS is you can switch mic and camera off from Quick Settings slider up top of the screen. And anything that needs to use it will prompt you always if you want to give it permission.
You dont have privacy with any phones, especially google phones.
Yes you can have privacy by not using google apps or log into google play.
They still know your number and they probably always listen to what you are speaking. You never know. I mean you type a wrong statement to chatGPT and it understands and corrects it. AI is way ahead.
@John Doh: Android/iOS: Apple and Google have system-level access to hardware; apps can use this backchannel.
GrapheneOS: All hardware access is forced through the kernel, requiring explicit user permission for every app. No backchannels exist. In other words with GrapheneOS if you disable Mic/Camera/GPS it's disabled! With Android and iOS they like to give you toggles, settings and app permission to give you a false sense of control but truth is your mic/camera/gps can still be accessed.
wonder whether you can price match google store…. ;) I have 500 in credit that I need to spend.
Google store will match their authorised resellers, including Officeworks, but their process requires you to pay full price and then claim back the difference.
Thanks. That's interesting… Will explore. I am keen on the 9a but 9 pro will do. ;)
Thanks OP. I managed to get a 128GB for my partner price matched at JBHifi for $867, that includes the perks discount. Happy days.
Did you do online chat, or in person? I'm wondering if I can do this for Click and Collect, or if they'll check for stock in the nearest Officeworks and decline a price match - my local is low on stock.
I've tried multiple deals previously and the live chat kept telling me that I cannot apply promo codes after price match…
I got it through chat. Pushed the point stating that OW had stock in my location, though limited. On checkout the coupon code worked without issue. Click and Collect at JB as well
Does the have desktop mode like DEX?
Do any phones outside of Samsung do that?
Hopefully one of the larger models go on sale soon.. I missed the last ones
- Pixel 10 Pro XL
- Pixel 9 Pro XL
- Pixel 8 Pro
- Pixel 7 Pro
That is more than I paid for the pixel 9 pro XL a couple of months back
Details of how you did it would be appreciated.
So it was $9 cheaper with price check? You could use the JB HiFi price match with the $30 coupon on this and get it $21 cheaper than yours
Cool story. I think I even had good guys credit so it was cheaper for me
I had that too and I got cash back and had discount gift cards also i was my birthday so grandma put $10 in my card too so it was actually much better than yours
That was a ripper deal if size matters to you. Otherwise, the GOAT IMO is still the P9P Telstra deal for $699.
I would have got that if it were open to the public
Couldn't you just create a Telstra account?
@serpserpserp: Bummer. I prefer the bigger screen size anyway and the small price bump is worth it so you got a great deal regardless. I don't think I could get used to a small phone after owning a large phone.
Got the 8 Pro for $499 and love it. I don't see myself changing phones for a while.
where did you get 8 Pro for $499?
128gb OOS
Come too late for me, I'm afraid - smashed my 6a's screen a couple of days ago and was in urgent need of a replacement, so bought a 9a at full price the same evening. I would have held out for this deal if I'd known it was coming, but them's the breaks :P
Oh no the 256gb all sold out online in victoria near me T.T
Missed out on grabbing a Hazel 128GB, but I snagged the last Porcelain model. Thanks OP
Kinda silly that my husband got $320 trade-in voucher but $300 & $20, so he can only use 1 voucher ($300) in one online transaction. he's getting the 128gb one, but the 256gb one is out of stock. Do they usually restock? Also does anyone have a way around the trade-in voucher thing? The trade-in value is higher from officework compare to jb for our old pixel 8.
Limited stock outer Brisbane stores (2) and Beenleigh. Not available online!
This may be the lowest quality post I've ever seen.
