New car is never a good deal…

    yes it the base model

  • +1

Have you considered a model a few years older? It'll be cheaper and you should be able to transfer the warranty over.

  • Do you really want a jazz?

  • Hi There,

    1) Thought the Honda Warranty was only 3 years/100,000km. What's the 6 year warranty specs?

    2) Is this quoted in Victoria? Mind if I ask which dealership.

    3) Overall, I do think it is a real good deal…hence the question (interested in a small car too).

    Thank you.

    • hi yes, it is in VIC

  • why would you want such a small car?

    • because i have SUV already

  • Check your servicing costs, Honda Jazz is 6month intervals, so can add up over time.

  • It's only $990 off the normal price so not a massive discount.
See what other dealers can do.

There are a lot of other cars around too, Renault Clio is around your price. It has bigger alloys, metallic paint is not extra, electric pack included ( I think that's sat Nav etc) keyless start, 5 year warranty, capped servicing.

Take them all for a drive and see what one you like best.

    • never consider Renault clio, or even hear of it, let me google it

      • something a little different to check out. We bought a Koleos SUV a few months ago and saw the Clio, nice looking car and seemed good to sit in.

Insurance and servicing for the Koleos is good - insurance is about the same as an Xtrail from Nissan, servicing was cheaper than Nissan and warranty is 5 years. so I would say its at around the same as the honda.

But that said, a friend has had a Honda Jazz for 10 years and never had a problem with it.

  • We got a 2016 model for 14990 brand new with 5yr warranty and 5yr roadside.

Extra 3k for a 2017 model may be worth it to you, but id look around for a 2016 model since afaik theyre are not many changes.

    • wow, that is cheap! for 3k i would buy 2016 model too!

    • Can I ask it that was that an auto or manual for $14,990?

Seems like a great price. Well bargained.

I am hoping to take advantage of the sales next month.

      • That was a manual

        • Thanks. That helps as I am fine with a manual.

  • If you can wait for 3 months for Eofy deals, might save up to another $1000.

    • yes , we can wait

  • Hi Bargainers!

Did anyone score a better price for a Jazz VTI Auto recently?
Looking for one and hope the powerful bargainers can give me some reference

    Jose

    • Pity we are not in the same state, otherwise, I would have suggested we group buy.

  • We have an 2009 Jazz and it's been super reliable. The only thing is I didn't realise how compromising the OEM tyres were before I changed them for some Contis. It totally transformed the car. The Jazz had always been good around the city but skittish on the highway. The better tyres mostly resolved that. It doesn't stick like my MINI with the same tyres, but overall it is a great little car. I'm not sure why they are not higher in the sales charts.

  • Wife has a 2012 Honda Jazz GLI auto, 2 years ago paid just $14K for it with a mere 12,000 kms on clock, been a fantastic run around local car, I like driving it myself. The big plus with the Jazz is the way the rear seats fold down flat, carried many a long item home from Bunnings home.

  • About to buy the Jazz VTI Auto, do we think it can be bargain to $17K?

  • We bought a Honda Jazz last November in auto for $17500 drive away with five year factory warranty. Good little car. Just a heads up - we just had the 6 month service which we were told was fixed price at $259 but ended up costing us $281 as the dealership added costs for: environmental levy $9, shop supplies $6 and top up fluids $5 (the car has only done 4,000 klms) According to the log book, there are a number of things that were inspected but the only thing that was replaced was the engine oil. The oil filter was not replaced. The oil filter will be replaced at the 12 month service which should be fixed price at $297.
