If you were near Braeside VIC or wanted delivery: Same price on Soniq eBay store, but you can use code CAU5 to get it for $948.10 pick up from Braeside VIC or $1018.10 with express delivery (JB Hi-Fi is $1057 delivered). Also $30 or so cashback on top.

  • Bought it last year in early July. Could have sworn it was $899 then, but could be wrong. It takes more than 40 seconds to boot, and has no suspend mode. The "smart" apps are not all that smart. The range of codecs supported by the built-in media player is tiny. Having said that, it pairs well with my Samsung UHD player and the quality is adequate.

    • 40 seconds.. Ouch, that's longer than most computers

Soniq are utter garbage & wouldn't touch with a barge pole

    • Details help mate. Warranty issues? Panel quality? Dead pixel quality?
Saw Samsung, Hisense and Sony at JB a few days ago. They all looked very nice playing BluRay ;) But the real test of a TV is always free-to-air.

    • I have a Soniq 24". Perfect TV. Plays more formats than my changhong. Stronger reception as well.

      • Well they'd be excellent TV's if you're comparing them to a changhong.

  • this model was always on sale as refurb from the Soniq website, id probably avoid it given how much refurb they have in stock and theyre cheaper obviously.

Had it and hated it. Start up and channel change takes forever. Dark display while starting up looks like military pants, many brighter areas. Mine had a bright line in the middle of the screen from top to bottom.

    • What did you do with it? I mean did you end up selling it ??

      • I returned it.

I just purchased the 70" for $1499 and absolutely hate it. Most the the smart apps are incompatible, Netflix doesn't even support 720p, inbuilt media player won't play 4K, connected to my PS4 and lip sync out on all movies, Netflix etc. 4k upscaling of normal tv is horrible with permanent soap opera effect and not way of turning motionflow high htz off.
Takes almost a minute to turn on and boot up and has hard coded "soniq and jb hi adverts" in the menu system

Needless to say I returned it after 1 day and got my money back
