Bluedio N2 Bluetooth Sport Earphones $6.89 USD (under $9.4 AUD) Delivered via GearBest

90

A very basic pair of Bluetooth earphones. Includes a built in Mic… probably wouldn't use this for phone calls but will be excellent for listening to trashy low bitrate music and podcasts.

Buy a few for a cheap Kris Kringle gift that's like 7 months away.

Also 50 free points to use on this order after new signup (50 pts = $1.00) so another $1 off for many/most

For those after slightly better quality look for the Meizu EP51 (with AptX codec support). However, it suffers from a fairly short battery life of 4 or so hours (though experiences vary). Very comfortable to wear though.

    …7 months away.

    Will they arrive by then?

    • I've had half a dozen orders from Gearbest over the last few months using their regular/free delivery service. Delivery has been between 1 1/2 weeks and 6 weeks. Meanwhile, orders from a few other Chinese web site are taking months and still haven't arrived. That said, i may have been lucky and YMMV.

ordered once. items never arrived & was required to wait 60 days. was offered a 50% refund instead of my items/full refund…after some 'discussion' was finally refunded my full amount. just not worth it the risk hassle imo

Similar story for me. Order didn't arrive, asked to wait 60 days, wouldn't offer full refund, only partial refund as credit only or I could pay a portion for another item to be sent out.

Paid the partial amount, second order arrived fine.

Coincidentally, my order was for this exact item (from an Ozbargain post, which was posted here around new years day). They're light and quite decent, much better than I expected for 10 bucks.

They're my only pair of Bluetooth headphones, so not sure how they compare to others, but for my running thry do well enough, could sit in the ear better though.

@Baltoski: …its funny youd think theyd find a better shipping company huh with all this mystery stock dissappearing? i guess theyre in no real hurry to change it as their refund policy requires you buying the item a second time….dodgiest online practices ive ever seen

        • @franco cozzo:

Yeah I wasn't happy they wanted me to pay more to send it again. After I did though, they sent the replacement via another shipping company, which was fully trackable to delivery, unlike the initial order which was only trackable until it hit Australia

    • …in my experience they never arrive! :D

  • excellent for listening to trashy low bitrate music and podcasts.

going off the reviews they maybe better than what you think…

Reviews on the vendors site are not reviews.

  • I tried out the Meizu EP51 and was surprised at how good the sound quality was for the price. I would say that it is more than "slightly better quality" than the Bluedio. It costs 3 times more than the Bluedio, but worth it. It has 6 hours battery life, which is acceptable to me.

    • yeah I was quite pleased with how crisp it sounds… though the battery life on mine is either a dud or I'm not using it properly. Doesn't seem to be hitting the advertised 5 or 6 hours.

    • I'd get a pair if they had the over ear straps. Those little rubber things they have fall out when running. The xiaomi bluetooth sports earphones are still my preferred for the price.

      • Link please? The xiaomi

  • Terrible sound quality and reception, I don't recommend them.

  • I can vouch for bluedio products. I've been using the Bluedio Q5 for about four years now and it still works perfectly. It handles quite a bit of abuse as I constantly just chuck them in my gym bag. Very happy with it considering I paid about $16 back in 2013

  • It's cheap and its crap. Pay a little bit more for the Meizu ones.

  • they're kind of disposable. OK for jogging, where to me 'ear retention' is the main factor, which means lightweight is important. These don't appear to have overhung weight on the earpiece like so many others, so I thought it worth a roll of the dice

  • I have these exact ones and they are really good. I shit you not.
Got them from Ebay ages ago for about 15 bucks.

Have used them while working night shift and the audio quality is fine for music, audio books and phone calls. Bluetooth range is fine and there are times where my phone was in my bag and I'd go into a big coolroom and still get a signal.

Very light and the controls work like they should.

EDIT - Battery life is good. I charge them each day when I get home out of habit, but they definitely go for about 6 hours of a a full 8 hour shift and the drive home.

My packaging was different, but this is going back a while and at this price, I'm taking a punt as I'll keep them in the car or just as a back up.

If they are the same as the ones I have, there's no way I'd pay more for headphones like this. They perform and last as good as I'd hope.

  • I have one, its not too bad. Chunky controller wish it was a little smaller. Great sounds

  • Anyone tried these and the M2's? I've had the M2's for a while, and appreciate the freedom of wireless earbuds, but they battery life is pretty poor tbh, and they do tend to remove themselves from my ears whilst running.
