  While not entirely commenting on the worthiness of the deal, you can pick up LCD's Character Displays for a few dollars, then from about the same price you can pick up a 1.44" 128x128 LCD Display, and for like $10 you can get a 2.4" touchscreen LCD.

  Probably not the right forum, but does anyone know if the E01-ML01DP5 will be compatible with existing NRF24l01 libraries and can be swapped out easily?

    Yes. There's a video linked on the product page showing the module in a range test, the test sketches use nRF24L91.h and RF24.h - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gtM832Z0ujE
