I'd wait for them to be discounted - these appear to be normal prices at Costco..

    • I saw 55in about 2 weeks ago at Costco (SA) at this price.
Price is respectable. I know one of the head techs at a Sony Auth Repair centre who recently started to like Sony again. He swears by the recent Sony TVs. He was unimpressed with Sony for a long time, so he's no fanboy.

    Any 75" bargains?

  • Is this equivalent of the x700d?

    http://www.rtings.com/tv/reviews/sony/x700d

    • Yeah it is, x800d has proper colour coverage for HDR so i would buy that instead. I bought one and haven't been disappointed.

  • Do these still have warranty as long as Costco membership is paid?

    • Says 1 year + ACL

    • It was never warranty, just that you could return the item for what ever reason. Think for electronics now its reduced to 30 days.

  • What are people's thoughts on which tv is better this or the KD55X7000D for $999 at Costco?

    • Which TV are you comparing to the KD55X7000D? The two TVs listed in this post only differ by screen size.

I can confirm the deal. Went and bought the 55 inch last night. I was sceptical whether it would satisfy my needs as I'm very picky when it comes to picture quality, and the model in store had a terrible picture. It was like they changed the settings (motion flow was completely off) to make it look bad so people would by the next model up. Anyways when I got it home and set it up the image was really good. But the real winner is android. I installed Kodi and connected to my network hdd. Loving it.

  • Anyone know if this deal is still going?
