    Stereo Speaker

What happened to the other one?

    • +10

It was in the 25% we took off ;)

What's the difference between yours and this one for nearly half the price?

      About 500 bucks

      From the image, nothing 🙃
You'll see from Google Shopping that the RRP is $1499. They're selling way below wholesale price through our current distributor! That's an excellent price.

So this post is not a bargain.

      • +7

You're being duped by your distributor.

  • What software/emulator are you using to play & swap between the games?

I've seen it before, just interested in what it's called. :)

    • It's running a JAMMA board and has lots of DIP switches to change settings and enable/disable games. It's a legit PCB board, not a PC hiding in the cabinet.
Are you thinking of MAME, perhaps? That's awesome too, but it's not this.

      • Are you sure? I have the exact same set of games in the JAMMA 60-in-1 PCB in my arcade machine, and it's running an old build of MAME. Hence the crap sound in Scramble and Gyruss, for example.

        • Definitely a JAMMA PCB board. You can set it to debug mode with a DIP and mess with the options. Thanks for the question =)

        • +1

@WorldSTEM: Yes, as I acknowledged, but on that board is a chip/chips that are running an old version of MAME to emulate the ROMs. Last comment on the matter. :)

@flumpf: Sorry, you're right. I just came to the same conclusion. They run an older version of MAME on an ARM processor. Thanks. 😺👍

  • 60 games yet only a few are listed. Being as this is about games why are they not listed?

    • Thanks! Listed now.
My list includes 55 games. I'll find out what the other 5 are.

      • Can you give a discount if the other 5 are no where to be found?

        • LOL, no.
The other 5 are faster versions of the Pacman games and Galaga. It seems that's standard on these JAMMA boards.

        • Don't give up your day job…

  • Wow. Not one comment about Rasberry Pi or Retro Pie or other emulators or boasts about setting one up yourself…

    OP, you've done well.

(And if you're wondering, I run OpenEmu on my Mac).

I love Openemu, wish there was one that neat and easy to set up on PC.

      • I've been setting up MAME on PCs for years. It's become easy-ish after all this time.

But OpenEmu is ridiculously simple. I appreciate how it handles most things autonomy behind the scenes eg sorting ROMS.

I was very impressed by the interface of the joystick setup and how easy it was to configure the controls.

        Its good stuff!

  • is it this?
    http://www.diyarcade.com.au/ultimate-arcade-kit-with-60in1-j…
thats some expensive casing with a 15" screen…

    • +3

It doesn't include a screen and the cab. For someone who are in to retro games and making bartop arcades, I can tell you it costs nearly $600 to $700 in materials and endless trips to Bunnings plus many weekends

    • +1

No screen and casing is just the beginning.

No one to connect all the wires of the buttons and joystick.
No one to configure it all.
      No artwork.
      No wages to pay…

Do they pay the licenses for those games?
