106kg Olympic barbell Super EZ curl bar pack for $299

100

Great for anyone looking to move into serious lifting. An Olympic size 7ft barbell and Olympic super EZ curl bar (both with 50mm rotating shafts and spring collars) and 80kg in EZ lift Olympic weight plates.

Olympic sized equipment is favoured by those lifting heavier weights due to the more robust construction. This pack is great for those looking to upgrade their standard sized equipment (if you're in Melbourne - you may even be able to trade-in your current equipment to get this pack cheaper). We posted a blog about the difference between standard and olympic sized equipment a few weeks ago if anyone is not sure about whether to change to olympic. See : http://www.littleblokefitness.com.au/the-difference-between-…

These bars have 50mm rotating shafts on each end (unlike the standard non rotating 25mm shafts on normal bars) and the weight plates have a 52mm diameter hole. This means that this equipment is only compatible with other olympic bars and plates.

These bars possess 50mm diameter free-rotating ends with brass bushing, which are compatible with any Olympic plates, and both come with spring collars. The barbell weighs 18kg (without collars) and the Super EZ curl bar 8kg. Both have a capacity of 330lb (150kg).

Also included are eight little bloke fitness tri-grip baked enamel weight plates (olympic size) as follows:
- 2 X 15kg (30kg)
- 4 by 10kg (40kg)
- 2 by 5kg (10kg)

Pick-up available from Coburg in Melbourne, or cheap national delivery is available.

Postage calculator is available on checkout but as a guide for metro areas:

Syd $66
Bris $113
Perth $203
Adel $72
Melb $32

  • Great info :)

Good price for a starter set if close.

Not a good deal for those of us in WA (or lifting over 150kg).

    • Any suggestions for something closer to home for WA people? :)

Price seems good for the set but shipping to Perth kills it for us…

  • just wanted to mention ive purchased from these guys before.. occasional good deals, and they deliver swiftly :)

  • good price, but if youre getting into it, better off getting a straight bar

    • As in the barbell that comes with it?

yep, but the ezcurl will add $$. Probably better off getting DBs + straight bar. Ez Curl is good for people with wrist issues though

        • ah k, i get where you're going with this

  • Last time i looked for equipment like this they were using those solid iron spherical dumbells that strongmen use.

  • Would be great for home gym starting out, but my gym membership too cheap to justify anything else for a while (I couldnt handle not being able to squat without a rack etc which would cost a bit of dosh)

    • Same boat.

Plus the home gym would be outside, and during winter I dunno if I could handle 5am sessions in the cold.

I doubt my neighbours would enjoy it either.

I'm tempted to buy it with shipping just to see the delivery guy crawling up my driveway ;-)
