  I was a huge fan of UT , old school but was great fun , assault was an awesome game mode for lans or just coop.

    Oz scene is pretty scant - most of the top players here defected to Overwatch. You'll only find people playing (UT4) around say 10pm - 1am Sydney time.

    However the March update finally nerfed the ridiculously overpowered Flak which was pissing off the good players, so they have been seen playing again.

    It's pretty sad actually - UT4 is prealpha but extremely playable and rarely crashes. It just needs polish and marketing.

        A few options:

        1. Start a LAN match - haven't tried it but I believe this is making your PC the host where others can join (and you play on the host)

        2. Join an existing hub (there one from Epic and 2-3 others) - and create a private game if only want your friends to join.

        3. Run your own server on a spare machine or on AWS etc. This will rotate maps with predefined game type with little control.

        4. Create your own hub on a spare machine or on AWS etc. Hubs allow players to create games on them, pick maps, chat etc.

  Handful of good prices in that sale too, Shadow of Mordor GOTY and Tropico 5 complete for $5, hospital tycoon, poker night 2, walking dead 400 days (it's dlc) and serious sam 2 for a dollar, resident evil 4 for $7, not bad overall.

  Bought this last time around - and accidentally activated the key on my 18 month old daughter's Steam account. So now, not only does she have a Steam account she won't want or need for many years, she also owns a handful of violent FPSs.
