  • I dont know how they are going to compare against the big screen competition like S8/G6/iPhone8/Mix with this design. I suppose its still safe bet for conservatives on design though.

Might need to wait till their actual 2017 flagship comes out. The U Ultra isn't really meant to be their flagship this year. (Despite the specs)

hmm.. Interesting. Thought it was their Flagship. They are asking Flagship prices @ $1200..

Yeah, most reviews trash this phone.

@Rorschach: Nay… every review trashes this abomination.

      'Courage' I presume.

  • My initial gut reaction to seeing the thumbnail above is yuck. It looks like a Note 1 circa 2011. Is the front 20% bezel?

The ad for that phone, with massive U, reminded me too much of U by Kotex.

Guys and gals, please do your research before spending a $1000 on this phone. Plenty of trusted reviews out there.

Worst premium phone ever. Don't waste your money on this one. Do your research.

rubbish so called flagship phone, htc completely lost its mind

    Still waaaaaay overpriced

This phone has been heavily criticized in reviews. Only phones that come to mind that are comparable for poor reviews would be the LG g5 and Lumia 950. The only thing good I read about the phone was the camera is ok. If it drops in price by about half it might become a good alternative for some.

Seems like a poor use of space.

I would pay little more and buy galaxy s8 instead of this one.
1000$ is too much for chinese phone…

    • WTF has it being chinese made have to do with it? All Apple phones are chinese and lots of pips pay much more than 1K for them (admittedly not me).
How about the much acclaimed Mate 9 by Chinese Huawei, do you feel the same about that one, as it is admittedly chinese made AND branded?

      • I mean the company. I don't mind where it is made from.
I didn't know that Mate 9 was being acclaimed. But i guess sales is not as much as Apple or Samsung.
Normally, acclaimed phones have a good sale as well.

        • Wrong IMO, big budget marketing= good sales, and at times clever marketing. Do your own research.

  • This phone is a disappointment.

  • Poor use of (shelf) space having such an overpriced and rather underwhelming (for the price) phone on the shelves :p
