REPLY HERE SO PEOPLE SEE THIS

Contacted eBay - the criteria is you can't have made a purchase in the past 6-12 months

      Neat-o… :(

  • +13

hmmm how come I don't have this "vouchers" section in my ebay summary? should I have one ever if I am not eligible for any vouchers?

    • +39

There's plenty of us who have never had a targeted offer from eBay :( Maybe we spend too much and they don't think they need to lure us back.

      • +1

      • +3

I buy loads on Ebay, I still get targeted offers. Who knows what their logic is?

        • +4

$1 usb cables from china might not count toward building a VIP profile ….

there is a general $10 off spend over $50 at the moment ….. that's 20% if you just want a $50 item ….. i bought a $45 multimeter and got it to the $50 mark with a lead …….

the 15% would be sweet for an X box one S or those myer lego deals …..

        • $1 usb cables may not count towards building a VIP profile, but that's not what I buy so …

Maybe I should have said, I spend loads on Ebay. :)

      • +1

        +1

      • +4

That's why you need to make multiple ebay profiles.

        • Does that mean you also need multiple paypal accounts? Or can you use eBay without paypal?

        • +1

          @davelarz:

I've been using the same one and it goes through fine.
If you use gmail use the + trick to make the additional accounts.

        • @phil1311:

          Please explain

        • +1

          @sirs2k:

Actually in another thread someone mentioned that ebay/paypal is blocking using the same paypal account. It's been a while since I've had to use mine more than once so I can't say for sure. Regardless, multiple ebay accounts is worthwhile to get the codes.

Regarding gmail. Before the @ symbol you can add + and characters. This will still direct emails to your account but you can set up filters and multiple accounts without creating an entire new email account. So basically, [email protected] will be sent to [email protected]. Some websites that do verification emails don't like this though.

      I don't have a 'vouchers' section either :(

      • +1

The vouchers section only appears if you actually have a voucher

        • +3

It's essentially Ebay's own Easter hunt.

  • It's not working for me…

    • Its targeted offer, not for everyone.

      • Got a bit excited
        Cheers

    • +11

No eBay love for me either. I think it's because I'm black.

      • +8

        Same here, I think it's because I'm anti-feminist.

  • +5

    (profanity) eBay

  • I see a lot of ads.

  • +1

    Not targeted

  • +6

    • +2

      scum bag! :)

      • -2

        Yo Mama!

    • mind sharing a code? :)

Edit: ok i just realised that everyones got the same code and it is your account that has to be targeted

  • +2

43 upvotes, so someone must have got it.

I didn't, but in a way I'm glad, because that's saved me money also. More than $50.

  • +1

    No love here either.

  • +4

3 accounts in household, no voucher.
Two very old accounts, one used regularly, one rarely used.
    Another new account rarely used.

Wonder what the criteria for being targeted is

  • +1

The link takes me to that voucher page but I don't see any vouchers in the activity tab. I am therefore assuming that I am ineligible?

  • +10

I'm not even going to bother checking because I already know the answer.

When can we start negging these bullshit targeted eBay deals that affect 5 people at max?

    • +3

      Agree!

    • +13

Why neg it? The people who have the offer may not have seen it unless it was posted here.

      • -5

You mean all 7 of them?

        • -2

I've been included in every targeted deal before this one. I'm sure a lot of people are included here too. It takes 15 seconds max to check and just carry on. Based on the ozb voting guidelines I don't see why negging is useful here.

    • +5

      No.

      1. I've been told about vouchers here, that I never heard about from ebay.
      2. This is a discount/deals site. Where discounts/deals get posted. This is one.
      3. If people don't want to receive certain things they're welcome to selectively block, or not read them.
      4. I saw a similar comment about groceries. Whose criteria should be used to block things. Why should other people miss out seeing a deal because someone else doesn't care to see it.

I've had several things in my ebay watchlist for months that are too expensive. There's no rush to purchase them so I just leave them there. But when I saw this discount I went to see if I had a voucher, because it might make those items an acceptable price.

    • +2

You can choose not to display targeted offers.

  • +24

    Dear Ebay,

Had just over $1,800 in my cart of Bilstein shocks, DBA rotors and Bendix brake pads. Have now ditched the cart and will buy direct through the sellers website so you don't generate any commission.

    Sincerely, Not Targeted.

    • Why would you buy them from ebay if you could get them directly at equal or less cost?

      • +2

EBay's buyer protection is easier to use than doing a chargeback through your credit card.

        • +3

Obviously that protection comes at a cost.

        • +1

          @EarlyBird:

Not really. If the shipping company "loses" your purchase, the seller loses out in both scenarios. It doesn't cost the purchaser anything but time.

Could the eBay price be inflated to cover eBay's charges? Usually not. For most sellers there is a convenience factor too, they don't have to create and maintain a website to sell their goods. When sellers have their own website and sell on eBay too, the prices are usually the same.

    • Did someone say car parts!??! What car you got?

  • Damn, i'm waiting for a larger discount so i can buy a Rasp Pi, didn't get this one though

  • People are probably chosen using some randomizer. No rule on who is targeted.

  • +16

Bring on Amazon, they target everyone.

  • +2

58 positive votes and no one yet to confirm they even got it hmm. 3 accounts here, none received it

  • +3

Same here…three accounts and no coupon.

  • +11

    This targeted shit is annoying.

  • +8

Two accounts, not targeted. Never, ever, been targeted, ever. Like ever.

  • +1

For those of us who were deemed unworthy by ebay :P….. don't forget you can still use code: "CHOCCY" for $10 off minimum $50 spend. Ends 11.59pm today though.

    http://pages2.ebay.com.au/Buyer_coupons/choccy?_trkparms=clk…

    • +1

      Or "C5AUS" for 5% off, min $30

  • +6

This targeted thing is lame. Now I really want Amazon to hurry up and sort eBay out!!

    • Will Amazon be offering a marketplace for trading like ebay?

Or are they just bringing their online store here? If the latter, I don't expect huge savings. The Aussie tax + GST will be added. Even shipping will cost more to send than from the US.

  • +7

If you missed this deal use coupon code LOSER for 0% off, I just used it & it works

    • +26

      Also targeted

  • -2

Hey guys im probably not going to use mine, if anyone wants to use it, feel free to do so. Code is; BUNNY15. First in best dressed.

    • +1

      Thanks, Didier.

    • +6

Tough crowd, some people can't take a joke.

  • No to me lol

  • +1

Once again No deal until we learn how many this actually affects. Bizarre these posts are allowed. I can get 12% off liquor land for who I know that works there. The rest of my mates can benefit from that arrangement… But I don't post it on OZB (for example), because it's not genuinely helping more than a select minority or few.

    • +3

Not the same thing. That is meant for you alone. But ebay vouchers have been posted here that I qualified for, but that ebay never told me about. I see them here, login to check, and there's the voucher. Other times it isn't (like now). Why should other people not receive a heads-up, just because it's not in my account this time. Especially when ebay is hopeless about telling us when we do have one.

    • I see your point but perhaps some members are unaware they received this voucher.

  • +1

None here out of 6 ebay accounts in the household

  • +1

    none here either.

  • Are we able to register multiple accounts to the one Paypal account or do you need separate Paypal accounts?

    • +1

I have multiple ebay accounts, but I sometimes use the same paypal account, no problem so far.

  • +1

The link worked for me and took me to what was apparently a BUNNY15 conditions page. Now, a couple of hours later I get a message that it's no longer available. Is ebay trying to annoy buyers?

  • eBay scattergun marketing

    • One big survey to fatten the greedy…

  • Not any more.

  • +1

Edit: the conditions page at http://pages2.ebay.com.au/Buyer_coupons/bunny15 no longer works.

  • Congrats eBay another voucher I CANNOT USE because I am a regular customer. This is the 4th ozbargain targeted offer I am not targeted for.

So if I stop buying from eBay, that's money loss to them but if a customer does not buy from them and eBay targets them with an offer then that customer that haven't purchased from them in X time may buy as a once off due to the discount code. Yeah makes sense…….

  • " We can't apply this code until you reach the minimum order total."
