      Likley fake

  • I've heard that you can get fake brush heads, so I wonder if these ebay and Chemist Warehouse ones are fake?

Retail for a pack of 2 is usually like around $15, although I usually wait for sales from the Shaver Shop.

    Damn !!! I just paid around $25 for a 5 pack last week… >:(

a fake toothbrush head? do you think they're going to blow up in your mouth?

2 for $15! well then it is a bargain then.
Looks like I'll be replacing my Oral-B with an Aldi toothbrush tomorrow, $20 for the brush & $9 for 4 heads.

    • do you think they’re going to blow up in your mouth?

No but they are not built as well so can (and do) fall apart in your mouth. Choking hazard there.

The spin/movement might not be as good

The fakes do not always have working indicator strips so you know when to change the brush.

Who knows what chemicals may be in them that shouldn't be going in your mouth.

      • oh ok, well if the spin is crap thats fair enough, but I don't agree with the other assertions. Indicator strips mean nothing, Toothpaste has nasty chemicals too (hence why they advise you to not swallow). Each to his own.

        • but I don’t agree with the other assertions

Well the first 3 i can vouch for.

Toothpaste has nasty chemicals too (hence why they advise you to not swallow)

So does the paint in childrens toys, we just were not expecting lead to be there too.

yer u can get fake ones, but i doubt they would be fake from chemist warehouse. wouldn't trust the ebay ones though.

Today I learned of Fake Australian Wine from China.

    Now fake Toothbrush heads?

    The Horror.

    • What's next? fake orgasms !!!

Yeah I've purchased fake ones on ebay before. I found that they don't spin as well inside your mouth, and when you hold your brush head against your teeth, the head stops moving. Real ones usually keep moving and allow your teeth to be cleaned. I'd stay away from the ebay ones
