PIA is quite popular here, ~35 AUD/year looks like the lowest price I could find (e.g. better than Black Friday deal).

  • How are these guys compared to IPVanish?

  • Update - added speed test results.

PrivateInternetAccess is good, been using it over two years now.

StackSocial is meh, too many ads, not much bargains.

I have been using them for 2 years now, up for renewal in a week.

I use PROXY SOCK5 on torrents, but I wonder if it's still worth it even with the new laws in place?

  • What about just using Tor web browser?

    • To answer my own question (for others who may be interested). The Tor web browser is a great and easy solution for anonymous Web browsing. The only negative is that it is not good (and shouldn't be used) for streaming or downloading large files because it is a lot slower and such activities affect the network for others.

I can't seem to post the links (an error from OZ bargains about it being a referral link) but I found these: If you want the links message me and I will see if I can get them to you that way
these are the deals I could find

    79.00 USD Lifetime (105. AU)
    Windscribe VPN through stacksocial

    29.00 USD Lifetime (39. AU)
    tiger VPN through stacksocial

    79.00 USD for 2 years (105. AU)
    nordvpn with coupon 2YSpecial2017

    39.95 year (53 AU)
    private internet access .com

  • Will get this deal, provided I can get new torrent sites to replace on etc. How do people find decent torrent servers? I'm clearly a n00b as only seen to find foreign language content.

    Advice welcomed!

  • How long is this deal available for?

    • +1

It originally said 7 days, then the countdown hit zero and it started back 7 days again… so who knows? It currently says 6 days.

  • Sweet, just renewed!

  • Thanks OP! new to VPN game, got it just for torrenting :)

  • can we use wishcard to pay for this?

Anyone notice that using VPN sometimes prevents access to many web sites?
