    Just be aware:

    Note

This is not a Dyson Original product and is not covered under any Dyson warranty.

    • As i stated OEM in title

For the benefit of those who don't understand what that means.

OEM would imply that these are used by Dysan when packaging up a new vacuum cleaner so are the same as supplied by Dysan. If they are different than the original a better description would be aftermarket.

Agree. so are these OEM or aftermarket? It sounds more aftermarket (i.e. third party made)

        • oem doesn't mean it has to be made by dyson… most oem are made by 3rd party and used within the original packaging/delivery etc. It may be even branded by dyson, but it's still made by someone else (in this case it's stated in the title)

          Correct.

          @reno:

I would be surprised if the manufacturer who supplies these parts to Dyson would be allowed to be selling them and undercutting their own client…..

        • @nafe:

Why? i have done this with Bmw and many other car parts for 30 years. Same parts, straight from the maker, minus the BMW etc sticker:) I get the parts for 70% to 150% plus, off {the car makers margin is big} what the car makers charge.:)

      • Is Dysan the equivalent of Lepin to Lego?

  • I hate how they changed the connection type for V8 model, almost no attachments available :(

    • What attachments are you looking for, cause I believe they just released a few V8 specific attachments a few weeks back.

    • SOmeone out there must be making a v6 adaptor for the v8 soon…. I've got so many v6 bits that won't work on the v8!!

      • Find someone with a 3D printer :)

  • Does this work with the V6 Slim? I know it's not on the list but just in case the Slim had a DC Model no. Thanks

    • I'd say so, if it works with V6 it will work with slim version.
source: i have the v6 absolute and my in-laws have the v6 slim and tools can be interchanged.

  • So…. are these the same ones that Dyson sells, just not branded as such? Or are these aftermarket "fakes", with the seller not understanding the definition of OEM?

The description and "answered questions" do not give me much confidence.
I am not paying $50 for something that looks like the original but is inferior in quality.

  • While this kit looks good and I'm looking at gettign one myself the help make detailing the car easier, I wouldn't class this as much of a bargain. What appears to be the same kit can be purchased locally or from china on ebay for cheaper.

  • curious… for those who have quite a few of these tools, how do you store them? in a drawer, hang on wall, or something else?
i have mine in a bucket in the storage at the moment… hoping to find something better (better organisation and better looking).

    • There is a Dyson accessories bag! Exclusive to Harvey Normans when bought with the BB absolute or it comes with the V8 Absolute+. Unsure if can be bought separately yet officially but it is $29

  • OEM meaning its not genuine?

    • Read above. It should mean it's the same thing but not branded as such and not warranted by the brand. But I have a gut feeling this may be an after-market product that counterfeits the Dyson ones.
I cannot imagine that Dyson would be happy with their OEM manufacturer selling these things on their own.

  • If it's not genuine Dyson and you didn't care, check out AliExpress.
