We need to ban the use of RRP on Ozbargain because that RRP is for morons.

    • +1

Actually that RRP would be legit for Australian UGG boots. What they are selling it for would be well under cost price for Australian UGG boots. Similarly, an Australian sheepskin rug of normal size would set you back close to $200 these days.

However, these may not be Australian UGG boots, and without seeing their quality first I wouldn't recommend buying them.

  • +1

Seems to be normal price on ebay ? Look at this on eBay http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/252864885926

    • +6

thats $75 not $57, same numbers, different position.

      • Lol well with shipping this comes to $67 so I guess $8 Off is a bargain.

        • +3

Your eBay deal is better because they are 100% Australian Made. Neither OP's description nor website impart their origin.

  • +1

Should also be noted that its women only

  • is this real? or replica?

    • This is Edgii UGG which is an Australian UGG brand.

      • +4

That didn't answer their question. Do you use australian sheepskin?

        • +1

Description says "This classic short boot is made of the finest first grade Australian double-faced sheepskin which gives heat preservation and strong breathability. The high-resistance, grippy and flexible synthetic rubber sole brings the ultimate comfort to your feet and reduce walking fatigue."

because the orginial UGG https://au.ugg.com/product/classic-short-weave , the middle G is bigger than the other 2 characters

        • +2

What do you mean "original UGG"? The site you linked is the American company who sells Chinese made ugg boots and sues Australian ugg manufacturers.

        • Lol, is that the company that tried to trademark the word UGG and was told you can't because it is a description of a product I.e. High heels.

https://www.uggaustralia.com.au/ are one of the originals from memory. Most of the other manufacturers popped up in the 90s/2000s when they became popular overseas, in particular in the US. You have to be really careful what you buy because the variation in quality can be significant and quality is the only reason you would fork out their high RRP.

      • +1

Are your boots manufactured in Australia?

        • +1

seems a bit sus not stating where the uggs are made on their website.
usually when i look at an ugg site i can usually find where it says its made but they dont say at all.

        • +2

I wonder why OP has not answered you?

  • If I want to order 2 of them do I have to pay $20 for the shipping fee?

  • +1

This is Edgii UGG which is an Australian UGG brand.

OP why is that information not in your description?

  • +1

Based on my super extensive research ( 1 x google search) I have concluded that these are chinese made footwear sold through a company in Sydney that was only set up this year. I doubt if they are using Australian Sheepskin as they advertise on duban.com which is a Chinese reseller. All sounds like BS to me. I might be wrong but the website just looks like it…. is well you know what I mean.

    • +1

I suspected that was so. I found a couple of Chinese sellers but neither actually said where these are made. And of course OP isn't saying so either.

  • +1

My $20 big w is enough for winter

  • +1

OP's product is not made in Australia.

Not being listed doesn't necessarily mean the products aren't dinky di. "Australian Made" is a voluntary certification scheme. Businesses pay a licence fee ($300 minimum yearly) to use the logo and be listed on the website.

There shouldn't be any shame in revealing where the product is made, some people don't care as long as it's cheap. Stores should just be honest about the product origin and let the consumer decide.

      • +1

You are right but I am fairly sure that annual fee would be tax-deductible. Even without that logo, it costs nothing to state on their website where the goods are made.

Negging due to major issues with vendor because …

This store is currently BANNED on OzBargain.
    Reason: Sockpuppeting Expiry: 05/05/2017 - 14:28
    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/competition/edgiiugg.com.au

I sincerely hope the ban is extended because Associated OP has deliberately left fellow OzBargain members guessing the product's origin despite courteous inquiries, while selectively informing us Edgii UGG is an Australian brand, contrary to results on the Australian Made website.

Excellent work negging professional! Looks clearly that they are made in China in which case they are misleading customers and should be much cheaper.

      • +1

Several websites offer these in Chinese at significantly higher prices than this post's. They often use the term "snow boot". Correctly, they are never described as "Australian Made". It is particularly irksome Member Thrift's clear question https://www.ozbargain.com.au/comment/4622139/redir remains unanswered after 27 hours although we are told this is an Australian UGG brand. Those tactics are reminiscent of Winston/W Time watches.
