Comsol Micro USB Cable Silicone 25cm Purple $1 (Was $9.98) @ Officeworks

450

This Comsol Silicone Micro USB Cable has a soft and flexible design to help you charge and sync your device in almost any environment. It is easy to use, simply connect the micro USB connector to your device and the USB connector to a computer or AC wall adaptor and you're ready to go.
* You can use this cable to charge and sync your smartphone, tablet, camera, MP3 player, GPS unit or other micro USB enabled device.
* The cable is 25 cm long so it's ideal for use in tight spaces.
* The cable supports 2 A charging so you can charge your devices faster.
* The cable has a soft and flexible design in purple.

Was browsing the clearance section and came across the cable, as usual with Officeworks it's hard to find local stock but not impossible. There are a few shops around Brisbane where it's available, same for Sydney, Perth, Adelaide etc.
Only purple is on clearance, there are also black and white but for full price.
It's only 25cm long!

Thank you so much for including the instructions on how to actually use the cable. I was going to give up and chuck it away!

Don't forget to tie it in a knot like the thumbnail pic indicates.

Obviously people are having more trouble using the purple ones.

    • My pleasure :) It's my second post here, still learning what to put into the description field hence copy-pasted from Officeworks.

  • Remember didn't support fast charge.

    • What makes a cable support fast charge? (besides sufficient gauge)

      • The cable supports 2 A charging so you can charge your devices faster.

You need more than 2A to do fast charge but sometime it may work you can use an app on the phone to test it.

        • Uh, no?

Anything faster than 1A @ 5V is considered fast charge. Heck, sometimes the threshold is 500mA @ 5V.

          QC 1.0 was up to 2A @ 5V.

          QC 2.0 typically goes ~1.7A @ 9V on phones.

Only USB Type-C (which this obviously isn't) and VOOC (only on Oppo and OnePlus) use higher currents.

  • Thanks, but I find that cables that are shorter than my penis are pretty useless.

Your life must be a struggle

      • Must have other ideas for that silicone …

    • How many knots can you do on yours?

You should have plenty of uses for this one then

It's not the size that counts. It's the amps..

    • This cable is 25cms… Don't lie to yourself.

  • Lol I was gonna get 5 since I only have one cable for 5 iphone devices and realised its only for Android! Doh!!

    Apple cables r crap

  • OW Alexandria NSW has 3 of them - All gone now… :P

  • I have one of these, bought when desperate at $5. The only con is the micro USB plug is "fatter" than my other microUSB cables and you have to push in hard when inserting and pull hard when removing. It does charge faster with more Amps than those crappy freebie micro USB cables.

  • Bought last 4 at northmead officeworks - thanks op

  • Does Comsol make good cables?

  • Great cable and very fast charging. Plenty at Fremantle store. Have blue colour for the same price too.

  • The best cheap micro usb cables I've found are these.

pick pink for samsung S2 and it comes up as $1.31

1.5 meters and while I don't have a fast charge phone (nexus5) I do need quality cables to keep it in the green while playing phone games.
