  • Definitely not shabby for the price point, discounts no doubt being driven by the release of the RX 580.

That eBay 20% code applies to all their graphics cards. Time for some bargain hunting?

The GTX 1080 comes down to $719.

The GTX 1060 comes down to $348. Arguably a better deal than the 480 considering the performance differential.

    • Sucks theres no RX 470.

480 is better than the 1060 now? Or atleast hand-in-hand

The RX580 8GB is also available at $344

Edit: Lol just posted the same as above.
Anyway the 480 is better now vs 1060 compared to launch

    • What would you lads suggest, 1440p gaming upgrading from 7850?

I'm just going off benchmarking data: http://www.videocardbenchmark.net/high_end_gpus.html

        1070

        • Currently deciding between 480, 580 and 1060 as I want to keep the budget sub $400.

        • @QW3RTY:

Fair enough, I guess it depends on budget and expectations.

      • Don't go by that, it's extremely inaccurate of real performance. That said the 480 is a big upgrade from a 7850, enough to drive 1440p but don't expect to run everything at ultra on modern games.

      • Wait for "Vega" which is coming very soon then decide. I had a 7870 and upgraded to a 290 trix over the 780 in 2014 which was a big performance increase at the time. Still handles games at 1440p with ease.

480 uses 100watts more at load vs 1060. Just a thought.

    • Got my figures crossed…. difference is just 30 watts.

  • these prices are going to drop.

    • yeh, by the time Vega released, it will cost $250RRP.

      • yeah I'm expecting around 200. Still not a fan but for 200- why not. The 1060 will crash too even though Nv - just not as much.

  • +2

Price has been increased to $400, making the price with discount now $320

  • I received the item just now. It's not a brand new item at all. I can see watermark on the socket, and dust and marks on fan. I want to give a negative, but eBay don't allow me to do within 7 days.
