Its a good current price on a good gaming cpu. You could wait for an Ali Express "deal" but it will be of dubious provenance, may or may not be new, may come with broken pins and signs of wear (as per various Ali sellers own descriptions), and then there's the warranty, or lack of it. But if you're willing to take those risks, got for it.
6 CPU's from Aliexpress no issues so far.. i even got two used Ryzen 7500F CPU's for $125.. both work great. Look like new. had to use alcohol to remove the Chinese "tested" stamps on them haha
CPUs sold as new are new, that's a generic useless warning(AM5 doesn't even have pins)
Many people have had positive experiences buying from Ali Express, but there's plenty of others who have had bad experiences that are well documented.
Too many CPU sellers on Ali Express don’t even state whether its new or not, like this recent 7700 deal.
An actual quote from TaiYuan Store AliExpress for this recent 5700x deal: “1.The product is brand New One year warranty and will be shipped loose! Minor surface wear, bent pins, or stains are normal. Please do not purchase if you mind these conditions.”
@Mudcrab Merchant: I have struggled to find any comments of people actually receiving fake or faulty aliexpress cpus from the posted stores on ozbargain. https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/921299 1 slow shipping comment which they haven't followed up on.
