Not as generous as the severance pay of the ex-CEO.

  • what is the $30 bonus? any link or details to this?

Outside of the $30 Bonus, it may be better suited to the competitions section?

No deal - even with the $30 bonus Travelex rate is better (ie $1530 through AusPost cash card is worse than $1500 for Travelex Cash Passport for USD conversions)

    • What if you buy it using USD ?

Not worth it when their FX margin is like +5%.

I don't think any Ozbargainers are going to be keen on $30 'bonus' when they get reamed by an extra $75-150 in the terrible exchange rate spread compared to virtually every other currency method.

  • Anyone going to neg the deal?

    • silence is deafening

    • Wel it's still technically a deal because it's $30 better than their normal rate (but not better than what else is available)

Get a 28 degrees credit card and benefit from market fx rates and 0% international transfer fees. Will save a hell of a lot more than this product.

Beware the fine print, look out for loading fees, conversion fees, whether the exchange rate is competitive, and any fees if you transfer back to A$, say after your travels.
Many Ozbargainers use 28degree credit card and Citiplus debit card for travel.

  • Citibank Citi Plus fee free account with Visa Debit is far better. This card has terrible exchange rates and so many fees it makes my head spin ($5 reload fee, $10 cash out fee, $4 per month fee for inactivity, 2.95% domestic ATM withdrawal fee).

I wouldn't touch this fee trap with a 10 foot pole!

Wow, I knew it would be bad being an Aus Post product, but all that is criminally bad. All your money would be gone before you spent $1 of it!
