  alibonus is a great alternative. however you start out at 7% and have to get to a level of buying (buying history) to reach 10%. 10% cash back on everything.

  d'oh I've bought all this various stuff from AliEx the last little while, always inbetween these 10% deals. (luckily always small items in the grand scheme of things so 3% is not much, but still …)

  The Law of Cashback: whenever I make a big purchase, rewards will go up the same night.

    How do you do that, using the Aliexpress app and Cashrewards?

      Instructions are on CR but basically:
      1. Default browser (Safari for iOS) -> CashRewards
      2. Hit the 'shop now' button, redirects you to AliExpress.com
      3. On AliExpress it has the 'Get App' or 'Use App' banner if you already have the app
      4. When it transfer you to the App, CR will track your order.

      Best to log in and get the App ready first.

  I've always been a bit dubious about shopping with Aliexpress, so have personally never tried.

  For those of you who do frequently: Is there any real buyer protection? If your product is lost or damaged in transit, will you get compensation? Are postage costs exorbitant or reasonable?

    Anyway was gonna say …..give them a go. First time I used them the postage got mucked around as my address was considered remote…worked out in the end, the support was a bit Chinglishy but that made it fun when every message started, Hello Dear😀

    …first time I ever used eBay I ended up with a -1 rating after an attempted purchase completely failed. Up to 350 now but I am happy to try others as eBay is becoming more expensive.

    So one time, this $2 thing didnt arrive. AFter 60 days, I was like to the seller, 'hey this thing didnt arrive'. They said ok and they would refund (but the money is held by aliexpress, not the seller). Apparently they initiated it but I never got the money back. Anyway I wasn't super fussed because it was $2 but it did kinda irk me because maybe Aliexpress isn't so reliable. I've ordered at least 20 times and that was the first time I'd ever had an issue.

    I try not to buy anything over $10. But I did buy a Xiaomi phone once but I paid for DHL shipping and the seller was legit. Oh, the $2 did arrive actually and that was a bit annoying because I had reordered it with a different seller (which actually arrived before the original!).

  I bought laptop at Aliexpress at 22:30pm 5-May-2017 (Sydney time), and paid at the same time.

  Yesterday, cashrewards sent me email with the tracking, shows 7% cashback other than 10%.

  Something was wrong at cashrewards.
