Didn't work for my Samsung Galaxy S5 phone even with the adapter, I had another MHL cable that I tried and it worked for my s5, not sure if I got a dud one but it does say charging just doesn't mirror.

Wouldn't you need the 5 to 11 PIN connector to get this working correctly??

Just buy a gen1 Chromecast and save yourself the hassle. These things seem to rarely work even when you have an MHL certified phone.

There are plenty in Oxley, QLD if anyone is interested. Store staff didn't even know about the price difference.
