Thank you for taking the time to contact the home of Hog’spitality regarding the birthday voucher offered in our loyalty program. We have unfortunately had to suspend the program benefits nationally, including free birthday meals and discounts. This is due to Government seating restrictions that have been placed upon us as a result of Covid19. We are however working on an exciting new program to be able to meet these Government restrictions, reward you our loyal customers and keep our family-owned restaurants in business. We will of course update you as the program is reintroduced in its new form.

  • Unable to join? I click "Join Now" and it asks for a password. Tried both Firefox and Chrome.

    • Think you need an existing Blue card.

      • Ah ok

      • I had the same issue. Does it mean that this deal is only valid for exsting frequent dinner members?

      • So I guess you have to dine there first, get the blue frequent diner card, activate it and then purchase the lifetime for $19.90.

      • +2

So this is in fact a 'targeted' offer? If that is the case, it should be marked as such. I tried to take it up, and was also prompted for a UN etc. Maybe these dudes are about to fold and this is their 'swansong'? lol

  • Hrrm, not really a bargain as such though, seems to be normal price.
Maybe move to birthday deal forum?

    • The birthday voucher is normal but the $20 lifetime member card is new and if it wasn't for this deal being posted I would never have known about it.

IMO it should stay here as it is a deal and I don't think they offered this before.

      • correct….

I have a Hoggies GOLD card (held for 15yrs)…. thats a lifetime membership…. but this is recent lifetime deal.

        • What does the gold card give?!

        • @Hirolol:

doesn't expire .. but you cant get gold card any more…

this lifetime deal is prob the closest

        • +1

          @bonky:
          Is that it?
          Doesn't sound great!

        • +1

          @Hirolol:

Free steak every birthday until you die?…. not a good deal huh?

        • @bonky:
Free steak for your birthday is normal.
I got that without even having a card, just sign up with your email.

I'm asking what benefit does the gold card have except its lifetime?

        • @Hirolol:

Like Im saying… you cant get the gold card anymore…. this was the lifetime card… there was no lifetime card until now

        • @bonky:
          Yeh I get that.
But surely there would be an extra bonus for getting gold tier. Not just lifetime card.

        • @Hirolol: how can you sign up without a card?

  • You can also qualify by dining there a certain amount of times I believe. The membership is well worth it for the free steak, although ribs and rumps also offer a birthday voucher without the joining fee.

    • '… although ribs and rumps also offer a birthday voucher without the joining fee.'

Yes that was good, but unfortunately their only outlet in Victoria folded about a year ago, so now not an option for Victorians.

      • The Parramatta branch in Sydney also closed. Must be too overpriced or not good enough.

        • In my experience at the joint in Victoria (Northland), the food was excellent, the staff were excellent, and the prices were reasonable given the quality of the food/service. The problem that led to their closure (I'm guessing) was that they leased a massive premises that could have literally seated about 250 peeps; when actually AT MOST I only ever saw about 20 peeps in there. So despite running what was essentially a 'great service', I reckon they folded in VIC simply because they leased a really huge place, rather that 'starting smaller'/with a place of a more realistic size.

I'd be interested to know super-bro; was the Parramatta joint in Sydney also inexplicably/unjustifiably large? Maybe they just need to lease smaller places for their start-up operations…

        • @GnarlyKnuckles: No it was well sized and always around 50-80% capacity. Seats a total of 60 people indoors + 20 outdoors, roughly.

  • How do you get a lifetime card?
Is that something new because my card is valid till 2018

Edit: I just clicked on the deal and there is the answer!!!!

    • just purchase the $19.90 …. no need to get a card stamped like before…

  • Even ordinary blue card expires but you just go to a branch and claim your free bday steak and then ask them to renew your card. They will give you a new card which you register online. We have done this several times already so technically it doesnt expire.

  • OK. I'm a bit confused. It says you get a voucher to use on your birthday month the year you joined. Does this happen just the once or what?

    • I am on the ordinary membership. For the first 2 years, I received a birthday voucher for any steak on their menu up to approximately $32.

None of my friends or I have receive our birthday voucher in the last 2 years. We thought that they have stopped the promotion. We still dine at Hogsbreath a few times a year.

The T&C of this new deal stated that the offer is valid as long as Hogsbreath continue to run this program. Technically, they could stop it anytime.

      • Well, they could but that can happen with any offer.

  • Hey, so do they check id? If not, would it be OK to celebrate your birthday in May? My actual birthday is earlier in the year and…well I'm impatient :)

Edit: Also I'm pretty paranoid with personal details. Can I use a fake name? Or does it have to match your credit card?

    • I imagine that they'd make you put it down on the sign up form and might check ID. Don't know for sure but you'd probably have to give a contact email address as well.

      • Hmm I think I will use fake details and then if it doesn't work I'll refund the card (30 day satisfaction guarantee)

        • It's would be strange if they let you sign up with a different name than the credit card, purely because they'd be exposing themselves to a chargeback

  • The new Hog's Squad (https://www.hogssquad.com/) voucher terms are much more liberal — "Voucher entitles the card holder to a free Natural or Blackened Prime Rib Steak in a traditional cut size or choose your own masterpiece from our menu to equal or lesser value. Maximum value must not exceed $33.95". They don't define "masterpiece", but you'd imagine that means anything up to that value.

    Read more at https://www.hogssquad.com/terms-conditions.

Also, the deal now extends to being $9.90 for existing Frequent Diners, but only for the next 7 days and it is targetted by email (no promo code).
