  • There may be some very minor scratches on the elbow. All of the other parts are perfect.

    How many you got?

    • Judging by their website, at least 10,000, which is how many it allows me to check out with.
But I understand your comment, and am also interested whether this deal meets the minimum number of available items (10), given that it appears to be a used/installed product.

Thanks for the heads up. I had better do something about that because we only have 86 left. These shower sets are not a used product. They are all brand new and direct from Water Saving Showers Australia.. The elbows got some marks on them after chroming when they were packaged. Nothing bad but just not quite good enough to sell as perfect. Cheers

        • Thanks for the clarification, I adjusted the title.
Based on your initial description, it sounded like a previously installed product. Glad it isn't the case.

Am upvoting this, as I can testify to the low quality of shower equipment elsewhere. All the stuff from Bunnings will turn green and crack within years.

@Make it so: Thanks for that, we are a small start up based in Queensland and trying to get the word out on a shoe string budget. We tick the boxes and pay for all of the testing and WELS & WaterMark certifications and then have to compete with overseas products flooding the market with non compliant products. It's defiantly a hard slog and I appreciate the feedback. Cheers

    • Hi, Sorry for the delay in getting back to you. We have 86 left. Cheers

Do you have the Serbian Commando 450 showerhead?

    • Hi. This Hand Held Shower Set is a high end quality product that is heavily marked down because of some small marks on the elbow. It has a full rainfall pattern that gives a great shower at only 7.5 litres a minute. It also works very well with gravity fed hot water systems. The hose has a large internal diameter that lets the water flow better than most other showers. Free delivery Australia wide and 30 day no questions asked return policy. All you have to do is send it back for a full refund if you are not completely satisfied. Cheers

I'm not a fan of water saving showers so I'd like to ask what actually happens when you crank it up then? One spec says 7.5L/m which I'm presuming is with the head, so what does it matter that the hose is thick or not?

(I say this with no idea what my current flow rate is but it's not a "water saving" one)

        • +1

Hi and thanks for your enquiry. If you have good pressure the flow will remain at 7.5 litres per minute,no matter how high you turn on your taps and you will have an awesome shower without wasting water. If you have low pressure because you have a gravity fed hot water system or on tanks or on the top of a tall building then you will appreciate the difference. This shower is a spin off from the Cullector Ultra Efficient Shower which uses a venturi. We needed to develop a shower that gave a great shower at very low pressure. I hope I have answers your question but please let me know if I can be of any further assistance. Cheers

If you would like to see what your current flow rate is just get your shower running as if you were in there and then catch the water in a bucket for 30 seconds. (Use a timer). Whatever you collect multiply that by 2. For example if you have collected 10 litres in 30 seconds that equals 20 litres a minute. Cheers

      • How powerful is the water flow compared to a normal, non-water-saving shower head?
Also is there any attachment available to rest the handheld head at a lower point than the outlet? I use a shower chair and need to be able to reach it from a lower point.

        • +1

Hi and thanks for your enquiry, a shower head with no flow restriction usually consumes about 25 litres per minute and we achieve the same results with 7.5 litres per minute. The perceived power of a shower head is a tactile experience and will never be the same for two people. I have tested 100s of water saving shower heads and experienced needling, a hot head and cold feet and at times needed to run around to get wet. The shower head selected for this shower set is perfect. It feels like a full flow with with thick drops if that makes sense.
We do not have any attachments for a lower point and you would need to have a rail installed to get it lower and within easy reach. I hope this helps. Cheers

        • @Peter Cullin: Thanks for the detailed reply. If I don't have a rail and just leave the head hanging down by the hose, will it damage it over time or is it strong enough to last if used that way?

        • @Peter Cullin: Anyway I bought one, will see how it goes. Thanks

        • @sav11: The shower head is quite light weight and the hose is very strong so I can't see a problem there. If it doesn't work out please let me know. It sounds like everything should be ok. Thank You, your shower set will be shipped today. Cheers.

        • @Peter Cullin: Hi Peter. I received the shower set, thanks. Can you please suggest a rail compatible with this set I can install so as to be able to rest the shower head at a lower point than the outlet? I need to be able to rest it up sometimes rather than holding it all the time, but it needs to be low so I can reach it from the shower chair. Would appreciate your help.

        • @sav11: Hi and sorry for taking so long to get back to you. We don't sell hand rails and I can only suggest taking a look in Bunnings or your local plumbing supplier such as Trade Link or Reese. Another alternative is the suction cup shower head holder. Here is a link to one that Target sell but there are hundreds to choose from on eBay and other suppliers. https://www.target.com/p/suction-cup-showerhead-holder/-/A-2… I hope this helps. Kind regards. Peter

        • @Peter Cullin: Thanks mate, I'll give one of those suction cup ones a crack. Appreciate your response and help.

  • The exterior wrapping of the hose appears to be "chrome" plated which is probably not itself waterproof. So what is the actual internal, flexible hose material?

    • Hose details
The Shower Hose is high quality chrome plated stainless steel and Australian WaterMark certified.
      Outside Diameter 17mm
      Internal Hose EPDM
      Internal Connections DR Brass
      Internal Diameter 12mm
External Connections G1/2" Chrome Plated Brass
      Length 1.5m
      Cheers

      • Yes, I can read, thank you. However, would you explain (in plain English) please what "EPDM" is? Is it a type of rubber material? And is it suitable for other than "gravity fed" low-pressure systems?

        • +1

EPDM rubber (ethylene propylene diene monomer (M-class) rubber), a type of synthetic rubber, is an elastomer characterized by a wide range of applications. The M refers to its classification in ASTM standard D-1418; the M class includes rubbers having a saturated chain of the polymethylene type.

Hi, sorry for the delay but I hope the following information could be what you are looking for. I hope this helps. Cheers
EPDM rubber (ethylene propylene diene monomer (M-class) rubber). EPDM rubber is used in seals (for example, it is used in cold-room doors since it is an insulator, as well as in the face seals of industrial respirators in automotive paint spray environments, where silicone must be avoided). EPDM is also used in glass-run channels, radiators, garden and appliance hose, tubing, pond liners, washers, belts, electrical insulation, vibrators, O-rings, solar panel heat collectors, and speaker cone surrounds.
For more info follow this link to EPDM on Wikioedia https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/EPDM_rubber

      • If there are varying levels of 'marking' - it would be great to get one of the better ones - Order number #1098 ;-)

Thank you, your order is being dispatched. You will receive your tracking number shortly. Cheers

  • I took a chance and bought two. I hate low flow showers so if it doesn't work as described I'll be using the 30 day no questions asked return policy.

I will update once it arrives and I've given it a test run.

    • +1

Thank you for your order and please let me know straight away if you are not 100% satisfied with your purchase. I will personally take full responsibility for your order and although it may sound a bit old fashioned I would rather have a happy customer than a sale. Cheers.

    • If these are like the Bunning`s ones, there will be a restrictor tube / o-ring that you can remove from the hand piece for greater flow.

      • The shower set has a flow regulator inserted at the inlet of the hose. I am very confident that you will not only enjoy the shower with the flow regulator installed but be happy in the knowledge that you are saving water. With up to 60% of shower water coming from your hot water service a great deal can be saved on power too. Cheers

        • Hi Pete,
Yes I ordered one of yours last night but my reply was to cactus5000.

Are there different flow regulators to purchase ?

        • @Bargin Boy: Hi and thanks for your order. We only have one type of flow regulator so I cant help you there I'm afraid. Your order has been dispatched and please let me know how you go. Cheers

    • Any update?

  • When you say minor scratches, do you mean cosmetic scratches or has the chrome plating been scratched through? Are you able to provide any photos as an example?

And just to confirm, the hand held holder can rotate backwards and forwards?

    • From above reply just in case you missed it:

"The elbows got some marks on them after chroming when they were packaged. Nothing bad but just not quite good enough to sell as perfect. Cheers"

My assumption is that it's cosmetic, nothing that would impact the quality of the unit.

    • Hi and thanks for your question. The marks are not really scratches so much as marks. When they were packed they were sitting on top of each other without packing. This has caused some dull grey marks rather than a scratch. Purely cosmetic and not through to the brass. I don't think you will even notice it once installed. Yes the hand held holder rotates back and forward. Cheers

  • decent pre sales customer service from OP, so i'll get one! thanks op

  • I got this one at home with hotwater tank, but i do not like that the water coming out is not strong enough. https://www.bunnings.com.au/flexispray-wels-3-star-pulsar-5-…

Would your one have much better water pressure?
    Any video could showcase?

    Thanks

    • I love your idea of a video showing the shower flow. That one is now on the to do list! Thanks.

  • Hi, sorry to hear you are not happy with your current shower. Please feel free to purchase our hand held shower set with no obligation to keep it. I am so confident you will love it that I will even pay for the return post if you are not happy with it. It is very hard to describe but the rain fall pattern feels like a lot of water at only 7.5 litres per minute. Cheers

  • Ok, I bought one. If I like it and the deal is still active at the time, then I'll get another one :).

    • +1

Thank you for your order and I'm looking forward to your feedback. Cheers

    • Any update?

  • Thanks for all the info, have ordered one and hopefully it works out well! Cheers!

    • Thanks for your order. Your shower set has been dispatched and you should have it early next week. Cheers

    • Any update?

  • O.P. Can you tilt the shower head while mounted? It seems I'd need to loosen the larger hex screw? If so, how much should I loosen it?

    • Hi, Yes you can tilt the shower head forward and back. It sounds like it is a bit stiff. You can back off the hex screw a bit but it sounds like if you get the swivel to move a little it will free up. Hope this helps and please let me know if you have any further problems. Cheers

      • It was fine without loosening. Cheers.

        • Thats great to hear, thanks for the feedback and happy showering!
