  • Good deal for any newbies wanting to try out skiing/boarding. For comparison, lift tickets to most resorts normally cost around $110 a day (ish) that is without the equipment hire, lessons or food. I think this will probably restrict you to the 'Big D' area of Hotham but if you are truly new to ski/boarding this will probably be challenging enough.

    • indeed, newbies would certainly benefit from this

    • This is amazing value. Tried it last year. You can go to any beginner lifts as other commented below, outside the lesson time. In fact, the lesson was at Summit. Big D is usually more for kid's lesson.

  • Beginner Lifts include:

    • Summit Quad & Trainer
    • Big D
    • Road Runner
    • Playground

        only if parkies lets you.

  • Awesome… looking to give skiing a go for first time as an adult so thanks OP

  • That is good value, particularly if it includes all the gear. The first time I went it was jeans, parka and a lot of slipping over 'cause I didn't have lessons. The only issue could be no snow, or blizzard conditions but worth doing.

I took my partner to Falls Creek in September last year where they had a similar promo with someone paying for lift/gear you could take a beginner for free

  • where is good to stay?

    June 24 .. usually grass skiing .. :-( .. !!

  • Good deal, though it would be nice if they offered discount lessons for the kids. Would cost be #600 for 4 x kids half day lessons. My kids have been begging me to take them to the snow.

    • wonder if they'll check age/IDs…
