Parents are retired and are traveling overseas at the moment so I won't see my mum tomorrow. I'll take them on a 3 day trip next month.

        Nice. On which starship?

      • I'll take them on a 3 day trip next month.

Sounds great Scotty, may I come along?

I know I haven't been a member here for long but it would be a great way for us all to get to know each other.

If room is short I don't mind sharing, I've always said sharing is caring.

Looking forward to meeting and spending time with the Scotts.

  • Expiry date on these gift cards?

    • It says it on the website, first line:

"Booktopia Gift Certificates are redeemable via the Booktopia website and are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase. Certificates do not have to be used in one transaction."

  • So could one buy these gift cards. Save money then stack it with the next sales they do on items you want? No forseeable issues right as it's basically like cash?

    • this is what i want to know. can you stack.
      can you stack.

      • Once you stack you never go back.

        • @Gimli:

Haven't found out if free shipping can stack with the vouchers yet by any chanec?

  • +1

I think they can not be used with any codes, like the code you're whenyiu go to booktopia from books and get free postage. My recollection istatswathappened when my daughter wanted about $200 of books from there one Christmas. There was still a savings over free postage but only because the order was fairly large.

    • ahhh ok,

so the 10% off gift cards would be negated by losing the typical booko free shipping etc? Bit of a shame…. if only book depository was doing % off gift cards.

Looks like the sales ended anyway :(

      • That was 18 months ago or maybe 30.. I believe that when you are directed from booko, the voucher code box is populated with a free shipping code and that you can not use gift cards. I could be wrong, but just wanted to throw that out there. In my case, since I was ordering a relatively large Iamount, i did get a small savings.

        • Oh ok, I thought it was a standard thing for free shipping (Hence why their emails every second day about 'free shipping' never gelled with me).

I guess it's too late to know now, but would be curious if anyone else managed to combine and stack free shipping with these gift vouchers (for future knowledge sake).

THe free shipping via booko is still present, correct?

        • @SaberX: I bought a book last week as a gift by being directed by booko. When I was being transferred to the booktopia page it said I would not be charged for postage because of the referral from booko. I did not check to see if there was a code in the voucher box. No postage was paid.
