FRENZY

Adore Beauty has already launched their Click Frenzy Mayhem offer which is 10% off 'site-wide' with free shipping (tracked delivery). Minimum order is $20.

I'm not sure if cashback stacks with the FRENZY code, but there is also up to 9% cashback from Pricepal and bonus 8% cashback from Cashrewards.

If your order is over $50, you are better off using 'BFF3935' which gives you $10 off.

The exciting thing about it is that The Ordinary is not one of the brand exclusions, with prices starting at $8.80 before discount. If you haven't heard of this brand, it is a new range that launched last year that has taken the beauty industry by storm with it's quality products at super low prices. It won Best New Brand – Mass at the CEW Beauty Awards 2017 (the awards has been described as the oscars of the beauty industry). Their foundation was reported on mainstream mediato have a 25,000 waitlist last month but actually was more like 250,000 a week(Sorry, no stock for foundation at adore beauty). You can read about how and why they can sell cheaply here. You will be able to google to find all sorts of reviews and youtube videos on their products. There's detailed product descriptions and uses on the official website and a regimen guide. They do not test on animals.

In Australia Myer, Priceline, adorebeauty.com.au and ry.com.au stock their products and also asos.com in the UK. With this 10% off sale, the price is comparable to asos.com (which is usually cheapest) but is cheapest if cashback stacks (I just did a random check on a couple of products).

  • Can anyone recommend any products from The Ordinary range to try? (Fairly dry skin, some signs of aging). Very dry hands too tho' not sure if their products cover hands.

      According to their regimen guide, if dehydration is the main concern then one example regime would be

      AM: Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5, Natural Moisturizing Factors + HA;
      PM: Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5, 100% Plant-Derived Squalane

      but you could swap out the squalane with the 2% retinoid which is anti-aging. Make sure you only use retinoid at night because it causes sun sensitivity.

      Note that Hyaluronic acid is not the type of acid that peels or exfoliates, it occurs naturally in the body and attracts moisture. It is present in a lot of moisturisers.

      Disclaimer: I haven't actually the above products myself. Just based on what I've read. There are also countless reviews online to check out.

      Sorry they don't make products for hands. But you are better off using a good hand cream which will be much cheaper than skin care for the face.

      I have bought the Ordinary stuff, and I like their Lactic Acid, which sloughs off my dead skin. I also have a Retinoid and the Niacinamide. Niacinamide I don't see a big difference but I like their Retinoid a lot, (and I've tried a lot of brands). I have the Advanced 2%. The Retinoid dries me out a bit so I only use it occasionally, and with a moisturizer.

      Personally I've used Hyaluronic Acid serums before (not theirs though) and for some reason it dries my skin out more than plumps it out. I looked into it and it may be something to do with if you live in a dry area and your skin is more humid than the air, it can actually draw moisture out, but I'm not sure how legit this is. It's worth a try for that price, but monitor your skin well in case you have a similar reaction.

      • Yes I did read that the HA may have the opposite effect in a dry environment. What I don't know is what the relative humidity needs to be for it to draw moisture from the air.

        Thanks for your feedback on the products! Good to know.

  • Is the BFF code (above) your referral code?

    • It's a generic code that is revealed after you use someone's referral link. (i.e. using anyone's referral link will give the same code, and you can get the same discount code without using a referral link). I have not made a purchase with adore before so I don't even have a referral link :P
