We use this at home and a few guys at work have this. Knock off/poor man's Surface Pro. Works well and great value, takes forever to charge though we just leave it plugged in overnight. Got this at the last sale, amazing value for a 12" touch screen win10/android under $350.

    is it worth?

    • They work well. Great specs, worth it in a way compared to more pricy tablets.

The only issues I've had is the microsd failing in time for some brands and models. You can look it up on the tablet forums.
Also upgrading android and firmware fixes won't be straight forward for most users.

    • Doubt it. There's 10.1" tablets w/keyboard got ~$250 these days…

    "Guotengshenghua N1401 notebook"

nice brandname that rolls off the tongue…

    • A funny looking logo as well.. Open to one's imagination… :p

      • Almost looks like a half assed attempt at ripping off the Firefox logo….

        Mozilla Firedragon!

  • Need something with 4g Optus, any recommendations appreciated:)

  • if only these tablets had custom rom support

  • More like knock off surface.

  • This Atom Z8300/4GB/64GB combo is very common for low-cost tablets, and if you're happy with a 10-inch screen the Chuwi Hi10 Pro (with same specs) sometimes goes on sale with a keyboard for ~$260AU.

Also be aware that you'll never receive an Android OS update, and because of the availability of drivers, kernel source, etc you'll never get a custom ROM on them either (as @gimli noted).

That isn't to say this is not a good deal, but there are distinct limitations to the current breed of low-cost tablets. (Mind you, as soon as one has Android 6.0 which adds proper permissions support, I'll probably pick one up).

These are ALWAYS the same price. This is not a sale =P not to say this isn't a worthwhile buy, but really don't feel the need to impulse buy. Also much more effort/risk with a Chinese product. Cheaper as they skimp on QA - you may buy a lemon =P
