  • Oh man, just got the stockpot, and now i feel like i need the whole set!

    • +1

Of course you do! Beautiful Italian Cookware don't come this cheap very often - in fact ever!

      • How many are in stock?

      • +1

But it is that cheap now…

  • I really don't need such expensive saucepans… but they're so shiny…..

    • +9

They're calling you're name Make It So.

      • +1

Wife says no, even if shiny :(

Can you do something special for this set perhaps?

        • +1

If those handles are hollow, they'll get crap in them and be difficult to clean.

Hard to tell from the pic if the handle is sealed or open?

        • +4

Not today but keep your eyes out for our next bargain. You also need to listen to your wife less…..

        • +1

@Cookware Brands: Be careful what you wish for - my wife got me to order two of these on Tuesday. No idea what for :)

I love the Essteele set, but can't justify the cost, as we would mostly use it for preparing instant noodles and boiling vegies :)

        • +1

@Cookware Brands: he won't have money on cookware when he divorces the wife…

        • +3

@Munki: We'll support him. He can come and live in our warehouse.

          @Cookware Brands:

Finally, a rep who has a grasp of English NOT Engrish, as well as a great sense of humour. Two thumbs up.

Edit : oh, I got a set. Another two thumbs up.

Now all I have to do is learn to cook

        • @Scab: username checks out

  • Is the 14cm saucepan useful? Tempting.

  • +1

Good timing. Returned some Scanpans to Harris Scarfe yesterday, and grabbed these.

  • You are linking to the wrong product on the essteele website:
    https://www.essteele.com.au/cookware/per-vita/essteele-per-vā€¦
But you are a tad cheaper, just not as much as you make out.

    • whats the difference apart from the price? and in the end you get it @ $165 with the discount code.?

      • The difference is the packaging. We're selling the last of the sets with the old packaging. The product is exactly the same.

    • +1

right product currently linked. Check the product number (764890)

  • +1

Purchased. Now some skillets would be good for your next bargain please!?

  • +3

I Must say this company is very efficient. I bought a few Esteelle products from them and received within 3days!

  • Are the lid handles and pot handles insulated from the heat on these?

    • +1

Don't think the Vita range is but the set I've got (Australis) has rubber handles on the pots and lids.

      • Bizarrely, the Per Vita range is the go, over the Australis specifically because of the rubber handles. The rubber cracks and comes off over time (but, lifetime guarantee, so…), whereas with the metal handles one doesn't have that issue.

        • 7 years strong and no issues with mine.

Mum's had hers for about 10 years and they rubber handles are still pretty good shape. She always said it's one of her best kitchen purchases ever.

  • +2

Have had this set for 4 years and cannot fault it - look after it properly and it should last for a decade.

  • +1

OP, any deal on the matching open skillet? I do see the non-stick one at a great price but prefer to stay away from the non-stick products.

    • Not at the moment but you never know what might be around the corner ; )

  • +1

+1 for Essteele products. I've got a few items (pots, oven trays, roasting tray) that I've had for about 5 years now and they are still in amazing condition. Worth paying extra for quality cookware that will last you a decade.

    • mine are 20years old, and have at least another decade in them.

      • Hi Powershopz and Effgee, we love that you love Essteele.

Can we ask a favour? Would you mind helping other shoppers by reviewing Essteelee on the Essteele website? https://www.essteele.com.au/reviews

        Thanks in advance.

        • to be fair, mine are a different series, and I'm fairly sure they were made here in Australia (in Mount Waverly). I haven't looked at the newer ones to see how they compare.

  • Any deals on sets with fry pans?

  • I tried to buy a set but I can't seem to make it through the checkout. The site seems incredibly slow.

    • Hi chillemi, experienced some server overload. Ozbargainers are going mad over Essteele! We'll pump more juice into our servers in the next 5-10 minutes. : )

  • Site slowed to a crawl as I was paying, I didn't get thru.

Guess I'll keep using the el cheapo saucepans I got 13 years ago =(

    • +1

Apologies Bunnyburger we'll have it up and running in a few minutes.

      • No probbos, thanks~

  • +1

What is the sun protection rating on these? I'm looking for a new hat.

    • SPF 45392

  • Should be all good everyone. Enjoy! Happy shopping.

  • +3

Awesome brand. Bought a set over 7 years ago and still going really strong. The copper base makes it heavy but it's really good for getting an even distribution of heat.

    • Yup, as someone noted elsewhere, they can take a LONG time to heat up, but they hold heat really, well and really evenly. I use mine for cooking small stews and rice dishes, and use cheap, thin pots to heat a can of soup or beans or whatever. Thin pots are no good for things that have to sit in the pot for a long time to properly cook, and thick pots are time-consuming overkill for heating up a can of soup. At least one of both belong in your cupboard, "right tool for the right job" and all.

  • Are these made in Italy?

    • +2

      Sure are.

      • -3

So they'll do a Alfa Romeo and rust ? šŸ˜‚

      • +1

        Are you made in Italy?

  • Happy to pay $55 for the 18cm Saucepan.. Anyone in Brisbane is willing to sell that particular one? Please PM thanks.

    • I will be keen to sell it mate I am in Nundah

  • Thanks just purchased. Hope they are a good buy

  • +2

every time you came up with new deal. i felt like it is a must have.

    bought again…

  • Bought 2 mins ago.. DO NOT forgot "Cashrewards" of 5.6% back into your account later… please vote

  • Man, I bought the essteele sempre pans ones last time, I think the quality is nice, but on my portable induction stove it just doesn't get hot enough and takes a long time to get medium hot.
I don't have anyone else's to test out the vita ones. I just bought them, but I really hope it doesn't take long on the induction stove even though they say it's meant to work on it.
I found my cheap Gordon Ramsey maze pans and pots work wonderful on induction, maybe because it's thin metal.
Anyone else have experience with which stainless steel works well on induction?

    • Yes I have the Per Vita and they work great on induction.

  • +1

Do these come with lifetime guarantee if buy from your company?
Normally essteele has lifetime guarantee buying from MYER.

    • Of course they have a warranty! The warranty is with the manufacturer - not the retailer. Essteele is manufactured/distributed by Meyer Cookware Australia. Cookware Brands is brought to you by Meyer Cookware Australia

      • Will Cookware Brands honor exchanges/returns for major/minor faults in 1,2,3 or even 10 years later?

Or will it be the consumer's responsibility to contact the manufacturer?

        • +1

Australian law says the retailer is responsible. I note that they did not reply to you!

        • @4sure:

Thanks, 4sure. Just thought I'd clarify as they said 'warranty is with the manufacturer - not the retailer' which sounds like they may not be cooperative should something come up.

          Cheers!

        • @sunarde: I think what the REP means is that even when buying from Myer, the warranty is ultimately provided ("backed") by the manufacturer. Myer themself just act as conduite. Given that Cookware Brands is the manufacturer/owner and the retailer (same company), it is the same thing.

    • I have seen different Essteele boxes - some with a lifetime guarantee and some with a 10-year guarantee. I don't know what that's about. (For the record, my two Essteele pans came in boxes with the lifetime guarantee. I'd initially picked up a fry pan with a 10 year guarantee as the box was in better condition, but then I caught the difference in the warranty….)
