One difference is that this one is 1000w, OP's is 2000w

Yep, just noticed that. Still it's cheaper and same volume…

Not sure why you'd want to spend that much on a Food Processor anyway.

        • i couldnt find any reviews of it on ozb and in other forums people recommended 800 over 680

i generally go for best one if price is not deal breaker for me but Will dig more anyway.
          thanks

        • @signups:I have used both, the 680 is a very good processor that doesnt lack for power. That said id pay the extra for the 800 as it has more peices (or did when I used it) and is more powerful. If your spending that sorta money the bit extra is worth it!

Keep in mind the bowls arnt very drop proof and expencive as sin to replace. The little pushing bit was about $20 or 25?

        • $1/day for a year to save 1/2 hour/day on food prep. Worth it IMO.

Using 1 kilowatt for a food processor is retarded.

2KW is just … what in the actual (profanity), why are you paying to waste electricity like that?

You really only use it for 20-30 seconds all up.

Anything you put in there is going to get obliterated in a few seconds.

So it's like vacuuming up half a room to make a meal? Seems fair to me.

  • I bought one for $300 earlier this year. The plastic is very fragile, so be careful.

      as in the bowl?

      can u recommend any other?

      thanks

      • We have this model for 4+ years. The wife uses it weekly and it's never skipped a beat.

Just dont do stupid things like put bowl on edge of table ect. Its just not very impact resistant.

      • The lid broke in my case. $50 to replace. Most seem to be either very happy, or unhappy depending on whether their model broke.

Get the extra power if you can afford it. Smashed through anything and less chance of getting stuck.

    • The 680 I used for 3 years, never once got stuck or couldnt handle the job…

    • Agreed. With enough power can also buy own nuts and make own fresh nut butters as well.

  • I have the old version of this which i bought for 250 on some AO sale. 10 years on it's still going strong. Heavy unit similar to magimix that doesn't rely on stupid suction cups like some cheap brands. 650 is plenty of power. If you look after it it'll last a lifetime. Then again my folks have a 30 year old magimix that hasn't skipped a beat.

    This is what i have
