Optus locked, this one is unlocked hence the higher price.

12 bux unlock code from ebay.

      • This may be locked to Telstra (who Woolworths use).

The one from optus is locked and once paid to unlock still has way less bands that are required if you want decent coverage with telstra sim.

^^This^^ Could not agree more. Also will not get good Vodafone speeds and reception, the carrier free unlocked version will.

I had never even heard of this.

Thankfully I am on Optus so I will just ditch the phone if I switch. It does make me wonder what will happen when I try to use it on holiday though.

        • No its not, it says unlocked phones on website

        • @andyman1908:

          Which bands do I need for Telstra? I had thought they were just 28 (700), 8 (900), 3 (1800), and 7 (2600).

The listing on the OPTUS site states the following bands:

          3G NETWORK

          900/2100 MHz

          4G NETWORK

          700/1800/2300/2600 MHz

  • It is the same price direct at Optus: https://www.optus.com.au/shop/prepaidmobile/oppo/f1s

    or target.. https://www.target.com.au/p/optus-oppo-f1s-4g-prepaid-mobile…

Or on the first page of google when you type in oppo f1s

Now I know why lots of retailers make profit, not just the cheapest :(
