    Southwark is awesome but at 59.90 Dainton Family Brewery Red Eye Ryehas is a better value with free shipping. Never seen it in store in NSW.

          i generally prefer dark beers, mainly ales, but also lagers such as dunkel - ever tried those?

          @tonester: Yes, of course. It was one of my favourites back in Europe, especially during winter - Paulaner, Erdinger, Franziskaner… Not sure why, in Australia it doesn't go down as smooth as it used to be.

      Yeah good idea. I mainly drink dark ales, but I like the occasional red ale or IPA and this is a good chance to grab a carton.

          Based on my discussions over Sierra Nevada and Stone with staff at a Dan Murphy's store. Their low item turnover resulted in old stock aging on shelves. I could not find a Sierra Nevada younger than 7 months. A BWS I went to at a different suburb had the same old Sierra Nevada expiry. Small sample size though, so YMMV. Sierra also puts a 1 year expiry on exports to overseas, while they champion freshness in the States.
