Yellowglen Vintage Moscato 2012 (6x 750ml) $28 Delivered @ Grays-Online

110
CRACKA20

Great when chilled! Perfect for a winter night in with the heater on.

Similar to the previous deals at $28 for 6 bottles but not the cheapest at $23.20. It is still great when Dan Murphys sells it at $14.99 a bottle! Only $4.67 a bottle.

  • Wife loves moscato, but how's this drop?

    • pretty good and the sparkling makes for a better special occasion. two 5 star reviews when checked on Dan Murphys https://www.danmurphys.com.au/product/DM_343663/yellowglen-v…

Yellowglen is bad enough in it's own right, but 6 x Yellowglen "vintage" wines for $28 from Grays should hint that it's probably not that good. The other side is if your wife is not exactly a sommelier-tier wine enthusiast, she probably won't mind / care that much.

      • Mate I don't think I've ever met a sommelier.

I know it's Ozbargain but I'm going to assume you're civilized enough to have eaten at an upscale restaurant at least once in your life, and in that case, yes you probably have!

        • @Sir Casm:
The restaurants I patronise have smmelier waiters.

        • it's the person that opens the wine bottle or beer bottle when you go,out to dinner…. just like they have a special waiter that operates the pepper grinder they won't leave on the table incase you try to operate it yourself …..now they are cutting penalty rates restaurateurs will be able to employ more of both because they can sell cheaper meals and grow ……

I got this from the last deal, and I'm not jumping at it again.

It tastes ok, yes, it has a cheap twang but it does the job.

  • Way too sweet to my liking

    • Not as sweet as some!

  • 6.5%

    • That's pretty damn strong for a sweet wine, hey? I had a raspberry wine last weekend that was 7.5% and it hit me like a port.

  • got this last year…and i'm still trying to bring myself to finish it.
its pretty bad, there's a reason why its $28

    • it's on with speech indian food and because it's lower in alcohol than other wines you can drink more of it without falling asleep.

handy to have for the guests that drink your good wines and say " i wouldn't pay that much for. a wine" now you have something in their price bracket because the next price down is soft drink or water.

  • Picked up multiple cases the last time this was on sale. Totally fine for the price. I've given away a lot of bottle as gifts to people I wouldn't usually give anything to. I've also given away a few as housewarming gifts. Handy.

Taste wise it's sweet (not sickly) and obviously not a 'serious' wine. But cheap!
