  • any idea how much postage is?

    • Shipping if required is charged at $5 for Perth metro area, $12 for West Australia Country and $19 Australia Wide, regardless of order size. We reserve the right to refuse / change price for very large orders. Or you can pick up your purchace from our store in Osborne Park.

Better to buy locally if you're in the eastern states.

Awesome price , pity about the 19 shipping

  • This had been on special for a few days now, but had not been picked up by OzBargain until now. It is now sold out and back up to $89

    • bummer

    • Let us know earlier next time!

    • how do we get updates on these deals? Is there a link where we can subscribe to so to get email about these specials? Can't see the link on netplus website.

That sounds very dodgy !!! Boo to Netplus…

        Let's be clear :-

        1. This deal was NOT posted by us.
        2. We've had this special price for 3 days on our website - and had sold hundreds to the public.
        3. We advised that deal was no longer available minutes after it was posted by a third party
        • This was mentioned in the 2TB thread a few days ago & it's been showing as the best price on staticice, though has not had it's own thread. I bought a couple at the weekend.
Really nothing at all dodgy from Netplus - great pricing in fact. And still is.

  • $89 now. $99 at MSY. $89 at umart.com.au. I will buy locally @ umart if I need a HDD. It's not worth the hassle of returning for warranty via post.

    • same i will buy locally @ netplus for $89, not worth the hassle for this deal

    • Really? I'm looking at the MSY catalog right now and the only 1.5TB WD 3.5" internal hdd they have listed is $89.

Think I'll buy from my local MSY.

    • FWIW, I usually send my HDD warranty claims straight back to the manufacturers. They usually have a freepost box address to send them to, saves on shipping & turnaround is usually between a week & a fortnight!

Unless it's pretty much DOA, you're not gonna get any faster service going thru the retailer! ;)

  • The Samsung 1.5TB has been $89 for well over a month from MSY and other stores like PCCG.

And now I just go check MSY's pricelist just then and its down to $79.

Not saying this is not a bargain, since this particular drive hasn't been this low until now, but to claim its "By far the cheapest 1.5TB HDD going around." is to me misleading.

It's equal lowest at best and taken a while to reach the price of the Samsung.

    • Ah, I was looking at an old MSY price list. The WD 1.5TB is $89 at MSY as well. The Samsung looks the best deal at the moment @ $79 everyday price.

    • It was $79 when I ordered. I got 3, 2 at $79 and 1 at $89, so it was by far the cheapest WD 1.5TB at that time.
The question is whether you want Samsung or WD.

Take notice who can give us Ozbargainers this deal! 2tb wd20ears under $113.00 posted

yer i agree, whoever ups that sorta deal with plenty of stock would become legendary!

lmao what a bunch of f***ing whingers because they're in WA. Of course shipping to other states is going to be expensive. I don't complain that PCCaseGear charge a large amount to ship to WA. And they don't cap their shipping either. $19 australia wide regardless of how much you buy is a pretty good deal.

Bought 3x of these last week @ $92 each. Thought it was still good at that price :P

  • Officeworks will match Netplus, including postage, so that's $197 for two drives. Not the best price around but decent if you don't live in a major city area and don't have access to bargain computer stores.
