  Jesus Christ, I would really like to get Forza Horizon 3 but frankly that price is more than most top games on launch. I'm sorry but until Microsoft change their pricing there is no way I'd consider buying this game.

  Why is it companies don't understand with digital products it doesn't matter if you sell 5 copies or 5 million copies the marginal cost is nearly zero. When will companies adopt a decreasing pricing strategy.
  If a game launches at $60 (frankly that's still too high but let's roll with it), then 3 months later they drop the price to $50 then $45 3 months after that, then $30 after a year (and continue to drop the price as time goes on) you'd see much more overall revenue. There are lots of people who will want the game on launch but you'll make them pay a bit more but those who are happy to wait for a few months will get it at a lower price. But best of all it will keep your playerbase higher for longer to stop your online features from stagnating.

    I kind of agree, but its a flagship premium game that people are still very keen to purchase (or get with a new xbox).

    I'm sure they closely monitor sales and if they were to see them slipping then they would make adjustments to pricing to accommodate that, the overinflated pricing suggests they don't yet need to do this. Also, with more players comes higher overheads for servers etc.

    In saying that, I'd like to see it for $1 :)

      Look, we'd all like it to be $1, but this game being priced at over $70 STILL is really (profanity) ridiculous. Most AAA games are priced at $60 in Australia this is still quite a bit higher than most other countries and is pricing at a point the market will tolerate, and that's fine. But this game has no business being priced at nearly $100 for the base game. It's ridiculous this game should be priced at about $30 at this point in time, it's been out for a while etc. I really think MS need to review a lot of their pricing strategies even things like Office are priced far far far too high but because they have artificial scarcity people must pay it.

      Hopefully Microsoft will start to treat their customers with respect and not goudge their prices like they are currently, but I think that's unlikely anytime soon.

        @Shermanpk: Not trolling or trying to start an argument, but I really don't agree with you.

        I got the Forza Horizon 3 Deluxe digital code from Amazon UK about 3 months ago for just less than A$50, that was around 3 months after launch. Big W also had it as a [EDIT: Standard not Deluxe] physical copy at the time for around $50.

        You seem to be saying that the prices aren't coming down with time at all, but like in this deal, they are, you just have to keep an eye out for them. $48.47 on this deal is way less than $80!

    I totally agree with you. I have both a ps4 and xbox 1, and you know when someone asks me which one to buy I always say ps4. The reason being is that Sony continually tempt me with their constant sales and watching a game get cheaper with every sale until I break. Even the base price is different. I see games on my xbox for over $100 from time to time. What the hell! To put it simply Sony try very hard to get me to spend money on their store and Microsoft don't really seem to care.. And that's why my Sony library keeps growing and my Microsoft one does not.

      Not being an obnoxious persons like some, but gaming PC is where it's at, you can often get a gaming PC for around about the same price as a console (less keyboard mouse monitor but you don't get those with a console either).
