An oral irrigator hmm. Can't say I've heard of that before, how do people find their use? Is it just easier than flossing or does some black magic?
easier, but not as good.
So if you're not flossing now, then using an irrigator will be better than nothing!

How effective is an 'oral irrigator' ?
I've had one for over a year now. I'd say they are not as good as flossing, but a lot better than doing nothing after brushing.
The upside is that I could never manage to floss every night, but I keep this in the shower and use it every day.

very effective. brush, floss, and after that use this and still have some bits came out (which is VERY smelly).
The bits that come out after I've done what seemed like a thorough job brushing is what convinces me it's doing good.
i got it from amazon. good for travel but at home i got the bigger one waterpik unit.
if you can wait, wait for amazon i dont think local/grey stock matter for this kind of things.

In Japan they have special irrigators installed in the toilets, I used to use them. They were great!
got water all over the walls first time using this :P
