What do you sell? Please list some bargains as suggested in the deal posting guidelines?

    • +2

they are a seller of EVERYTHING!

    • -2

Thank you for your comment. We sell all kinds of household items. As the discount is storewide all products are sold at a bargain price.

What connection do you have with dingos?

        • dingos as in the animal?

        • +1

          @Michelle V:

Well what other types of dingos are there?

        • @Scab: Classic!

      • We sell all kinds of household items.

Where does your description tell your fellow OzBargain members that??

  • +1

As the discount is storewide all products are sold at a bargain price.

After a 1 minute search, I found this product cheaper elsewhere -

    Bath Tub Toy @ Ozdingo $14.95 - 15% = $12.70 shipped
Bath Tub Toy @ Aliexpress $2.85 shipped

    • +2

      Ouch

Hey im glad you mentioned this. Of course anything on Aliexpress is cheaper mainly because chinese sellers can send anything to Australia under 2Kgs (without tracking) for free for them (indeed they pay zero postage). And it might take up to 30 days to reach you. However when buying from an aussie seller firstly you support an aussie business, you get the advantages of tracking your item (auspost cost is $7 on average for a 500g item) at anytime and when it comes to ozdingo they provide a 30 day money back guarantee for all their products so if you dont like it you can just return it for a full refund. And how much better it is to buy something and get it to your door within just a matter of days. I hope this clarifies your comment.

      • +1

The Deal Posting Guidelines don't mention anything about factoring in any of your points in order for you to make the comment that "all products are sold at a bargain price"

        Before posting a bargain
Is this really the best price on the web?

        • Well actually thanks for proving my point even more, not only does ozdingo have bargain prices, they are discounting their existing bargain prices by 15% more so yes definitely it is the best price on the web in Australia. Unless you can find somewhere otherwise for any of the ozdingo products including shipping?

        • +2

Hey I'm glad you mentioned this.

I'm happy to keep replying to your comments if you want to keep it up from your end, because you are making it worse for yourself. It's clear that you still haven't read the Deal Posting Guidelines even after I provided the link for you.

My first comment was trying to help you, but instead of taking my advice on board & highlighting some bargains, you lied and said all your products are sold at a bargain price. I guess that's because there aren't any bargains.

I hope this clarifies your comment, whatever that means.

      • +2

So… you just admitted - there is no bargain.

This is not a place for your advertising

        • -2

sorry what do you mean? Did you find the same item in australia for cheaper than ozdingo including shipping? If you do please let me know. Ive answered a few comments below as well. Really the research i do for ozdingo before putting a price is to always be the cheapest so please let me know if you think otherwise and why.

          Thanks

        • +2

          @Michelle V:

          same item in australia

You don't make your own rules here.

        • So what you're saying is ozbargain.com.au is for bargains in china or australia? I dont understand your point. Im not making my rules here :) just answering your comment about getting something cheaper on Aliexpress.

        • +3

@Michelle V: from ANYWHERE we can get. Nobody cares if it's from China or Mars.
Look at the other deals many of them are from China or Amazon.
If you still don't get it then it's your problem.

      • You recommend your fellow OzBargain members pay $12.70 for the Bath Tub Toy and not $2.85? Have I got that right?

  • +1

I feel sorry for companies like this that don't realise we will do a quick search and find the same product listed elsewhere for a fraction of the cost.

    • -1

ozdingo is indeed the cheapest in Australia. Thats what they always do. And as replied to WatchNerd earlier, Of course anything on Aliexpress is cheaper mainly because chinese sellers can send anything to Australia under 2Kgs (without tracking) for free for them (indeed they pay zero postage). I don't mean to be a pain, but for instance your 400ML compressed air duster for $11.95 ($10.15 with the 15%) is $9.98 at OfficeWorks. It might be a different brand, but I am assuming that compressed air will look and smell the same as I'm cleaning my keyboard from dust.

        • -1

Yes of course no worries. Officeworks prices actually do not include postage and they require a minimum spend of $55 to get delivery for free. And actually the ozdingo air duster $11.95 includes postage with tracking. So i hope this clarifies.

      • +1

You are really just using ozbargain to advertise your current sale even when your sale is not cheaper than other sellers (in terms of price). It really does not matter the reasoning behind what other sellers can achieve in terms of pricing or whether the product is from an aussie business (woohoo supported an aussie?), Ozbargain site is a place for bargains and your deal is not a bargain.

        • -1

No worries, if you can find an aussie seller that sells the same product in australia for cheaper than ozdingo please let me know. I do help ozdingo do a market research always when it comes to pricing an item and i always recommend to them the cheapest price. So please let me know if you d find a cheaper australian seller with shipping of course. I can bet you that ozdingo will always come out cheaper.

And regarding chinese companies, the feedback you have on their pages is usually enough to let you get turned off from buying from them things such as "never received the item" or "got it broken and seller did not refund" or "trying to contact the seller and they never answer", among many other things as well.

So i am not saying "woohoo" to support an australian business but personally when i buy something online and i can get to my door within a few days knowing that i have a 30 day money back guarantee, then for me and many others which would agree with me, thats the best thing when buying online.

So yes ozdingo prices are a bargain 100%. If we were to compare prices worldwide for any country or any seller to those of aliexpress and alibaba then maybe ozbargains should be called alibaba bargains since aliexpress will always be cheaper and you say that ozbargains is a place for bargains and has to always be the cheapest price. Isnt it?

Thanks so much for your comment because this is exactly where a trusted seller differentiates themselves. I hope this response is not too long though :) but really comparing any store in the world to aliexpress doesnt make too much sense wouldnt you agree?

        • +2

          @Michelle V:

Continued & wilful arrogance by store reps is not well received by the Ozbargain community. We're all aware of the lead times associated with items coming ex PRC, but that's the whole point of a bargain, and those who really need something quickly will no doubt turn to a local supplier, but usually not in the case of the stuff you are selling - bath toys, cosplay items & whatnot…the majority will be happy to wait a couple of weeks (or pay a nominal amount for expedited shipping) than grossly inflated prices like yours just because it's local stock.

I'd strongly recommend not attempting to challenge the culture here, especially as to what constitutes a bargain or a deal. The lowest price will always win, regardless of if it's in or out of Australia, trying to argue against that will only see your reputation go south very quickly. This site isn't for everyone, or every merchant, there are strict rules for a reason, because we do not tolerate the site being used as an advertising platform for every 2 bit internet merchant reselling junk they imported from Alibaba etc.

        • @Sir Casm: Absolutely correct.

So what you're saying is ozbargain.com.au is for bargains in china or australia? I dont understand your point.

As Member WatchNerd already informed you …

    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/wiki/help:deal_posting_guidelin…
    Before posting a bargain
Is this really the best price on the web?

… unlike yourself we are all convinced Aliexpress is on the web. Let's not pretend the guidelines restrict us to Australia.

  • +1

We like to see prices. Bargains have prices.

OP at OzBargain the description area resembles a shop window. Invest 3 minutes adding 4+ example bargains with direct links and obviously prices to generate Members' interest. Your 'edit' button is between 'view' and 'revisions' … and will permit you to amend Shippig to Shipping.

  • +1

Negging because lower prices elsewhere …

    https://ozdingo.com.au/collections/beauty/products/uv-tool-s…
    $59.95 - 15% code CHEAPESTINAUSTRALIA = $50.95 Free Shippig
    http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/UV-TOOL-STERILIZER-Disinfection-S…
    $49.95 - 5% code C5OZ = $47.45 Free Shipping

… and because Associated OP knowingly charges fellow OzBargain members more than any eBay customer, although eBay charges fees and OzBargain charges nothing.

I do help ozdingo do a market research always when it comes to pricing an item and i always recommend to them the cheapest price.

  • +1

this is exactly where a trusted seller differentiates themselves

Again Associated OP knowingly charges fellow OzBargain members more than any eBay customer:-

    https://ozdingo.com.au/products/vibration-plate?variant=1961…
    $149.95 - 15% code CHEAPESTINAUSTRALIA = $127.45 Free Shipping
    http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/VIBRATION-PLATFORM-Plate-Ultra-Sl…
    $118.95 - 10% code CLAP10 = $107.05 … a significant saving.

  • +1

So full transparency and no surprises at the checkout…

    No surprises here either:-

    https://ozdingo.com.au/products/egg-incubator-chicken-quail-…
    $139.95 - 15% code SHOULDBEGRATEFUL = $118.96
    http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Egg-Incubator-Automatic-Hatch-Tur…
    $119.95 - 10% code CLAP10 = $107.96

  • +1

As the discount is storewide all products are sold at a bargain price.

    https://ozdingo.com.au/products/soy-milk-maker-soymilk-soybe…
    $149.95 - 15% code NOSURPRISES = $127.45
    http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/SOY-MILK-MAKER-Soymilk-Soybean-Ce…
    $99.95 - 10% code CLAP10 = $89.96 … a large saving.

Having sold 71 of these on eBay it is certain Associated OP, who recommends the prices, deliberately charges fellow OzBargain members more.

  • +1

So yes ozdingo prices are a bargain 100%

    … but not ozdingo.com.au prices …

$59.95 - 5% code C5OZ = $56.95 Free Standard Postage or C&C Woolworths … 32.9% cheaper but Associated OP tells us nothing about it!
